Fabulous Vegan and Juices!

I came in with a very sick stomach and had their ginger, lemon, and apple juice shot. I felt better in about two minutes! They have a wide variety of foods that are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free! We also had the vacation juice with the grapefruit and it was delicious!

all vegan restaurant in arroyo grande!

It's nice to have an all-vegan restaurant option in this small town. We ordered a burger with jalapeño cream on it, delicious! The peanut butter cups were super tasty too. Friendly environment and convenient location downtown.

Pros: all vegan , nice staff, convenient location

Cons: pricey , parking sometimes limited

Fantastic Vegan Place

We had the Herbivore Burger with avocado and the Heavenly Jalapeno Burger. Both were delicious especially the ginger on the salad. The cold pressed and mixed juices looked delicious.

Definitely recommend a visit here. We drove past a multitude of restaurants into this village Arroyo Grande, not a single multi national corporate logo here, beautiful for a walk after a nice meal.

Pros: Vegan options and smoothies, Vegan desserts

Cons: More whole meal options would be appreciated.

Mostly Vegan, Mostly Good

I asked the server why they don't use the word "vegan", and was told they aren't completely vegan. No meat or dairy is used, and the only non-vegan item mentioned was croutons on one of the salads. Two vegans and one omnivore in our party, so we tried 3 items from the Whole Meals ($12) menu. Rejuvenating Collard Wrap is like the raw taco served at Morro Bay's Shine and L.A.'s Sage. I like them at the other two restaurants, didn't work for me here. The Herbivore Burger is a lentil patty, and the menu mentions pesto, but I didn't taste much, bland but OK. I like the carmelized onion. Heavenly Jalapeno Burger likewise was short on jalapeno, but the black bean patty was the most flavorful of the three entrees. All came with a side salad of baby spinach and arugula in a light dressing, and I found myself eating the leftover salads from the other two plates as if I was a kid scarfing fries. We shared a growler (quart) of lemon Whalebird kombucha (which our server said would be cheaper than three separate glasses, but now I've got this growler to remember to bring next time). We also sampled the vegan desserts, carrot cake being our favorite (macaroon was a little too hard, cayenne fudge puzzled our tastebuds a bit). Our conclusion: wonderful to have a mostly vegan cafe nearby, very friendly and attentive service, food could use a little more flavor. We'll be back!

Pros: Mostly vegan, Fresh ingredients, Friendly service

Cons: A little bland
