Best Sushi Ever - Edit
We got four rolls and they were all incredibly good. This is the best sushi we’ve had since being vegan - probably the best sushi we’ve ever had!

AMAZING!!! - Edit
I was so sad when Planta Queen Ft Lauderdale closed down. Imagine my glee when I found a Planta Queen around the corner from my hotel in Washington D.C.!!! Just as I remembered, amazing sushi and menu of course, gorgeous decor, chic ambience and welcoming staff. They even had a kids menu and a “happy hour” drinks and sushi menu! Lots of GF options which I appreciate! I will obviously be dining there every night I’m here lol

Nice night out - Edit
Planta Queen
Read moreDowntown restaurant with nice seating, good service, and cool atmosphere. Very fast service and a little pricey- but pretty decent food for a night out
My Order:
Cauliflower wings- pretty dope, good flavor
General D’s cauliflower- basically seasoned tater tots, tofu and veggies
Truffle fried rice- i didnt expect them to use a light, basmati type rice that threw me off. Not bad at all, just not raving over it
Red dragon roll: good spices/seasonings, fun roll
Dragon (roll)- very earthy and on the healthier side i would say, cant complain.
Singapore noodles- not bad, not my style- but just shared with my wife’s mom so worth the try.
Cosmic colada- basically a cranberry drink
Diet coke
As far as my standards go, the fact that this place is vegan and has all of these options is incredible- but it lands between fair and very good. It will get the 4. Optimistically, the flavors were all interesting and made it worth trying. If i lived here, i may go back to try other items, but not the same items personally. Not that anything was bad, but just not resounding and cravable to my palate- plus, pretty pricey. All in all, support vegan businesses, this one was worth the try
Pros: Variety, Fast service (food to table), Good atmosphere
Cons: Pricey

Creative dishes & great vibe - Edit
Great location, entire menu is plant-based. Cosmic colada tastes great. Tried red dragon and volcano, both are good. Dan Dan noodle was not like the authentic one at all but the flavor was very rich.

Sad service but excellent food! Check your bill - we were overcharged for happy hour items. - Edit
Over the phone, we were told that we couldn't make a reservation for our group of nine. We decided to take our chances and arrived right at 5:00 p.m. The restaurant was empty, yet the hostess said we could only sit at the bar. After some time, they took us to one of the many empty tables. We waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order, in spite of the restaurant being empty. At least 10 people who appeared to be service staff stood around doing nothing. The amount of time was so long that we considered leaving and going somewhere else.
Read moreOnce a server finally came to our table, the service was delightful, and the food was incredible. However, several of the food and beverage items we ordered were totally unavailable, which made us concerned that this location would also soon go out of business.
Unfortunately, after getting home and reviewing the bill, we see that the happy hour items were all charged at full price. We had happy hour menus at our table that had the lower prices and made it clear we were ordering from the happy hour menu, so I'm not sure how this happened, but it is quite unfortunate since we are a nonprofit group. Make sure that you review your bill thoroughly before paying! We did very much enjoy the food - everyone's favorite was the Bang Bang Broccoli!
Pros: 100% vegan;, Unique, delicious food items;, Beautiful decor and ambience.
Cons: Does not take reservations for large groups;, Very unwelcoming hostess;, Several menu items (food and drink) unavailable.

Best Birthday Experience!! - Edit
After finding out about this restaurant months ago, I have DREAMT of eating here. My birthday was the PERFECT time to go here! I was welcomed by staff and had an accommodated menu for those who are GF or allergic to wheat like me. I got to try the General D’s Cauliflower dish, and OH MY GOSH! I downed that dish because that was the most delicious thing I’ve had all weekend…the sweet chili really brought everything together; the breaded cauliflower was the star of the entire dish! For dessert, I had the matcha cheesecake, and it was heaven in my mouth! What made it even more special, the staff brought it out with a sparkler, making it a highlight of my birthday dinner! I’m definitely coming back to try other GF dishes, along trying out other PLANTA locations within the DMV! THANK YOU PLANTA QUEEN FOR MAKING MY BIRTHDAY SPECIAL!!! Y’ALL ARE AMAZING!!! 🤍

We bought a few of the appetizers and main dishes. The combinations are very creative and all taste great. The place is on the pricey side and portions are not too big but the taste makes it absolutely worth it.

I had a lovely dinner here. The setting was very nice. The menu, now the same across the district's Planta, offered many varied options. The dessert menu was unique to each though. The banana pudding was great. Service was attentive.
