Really enjoyed this food, it was in a food court kind of setting which is also nice! Really enjoyed the food!

Nice lunch

The description of the food sounded a little bit better then what we got. Still was pretty tasty though. Also had the choice between several vegan dishes. Good for a quick bite!

Delicious Lasagna

Nice Asian fusion styled restaurant at the Blast foodhall close to Shinjuku station. We especially enjoyed the vegan lasagna.

Excellent vegan Japanese curry

Didn’t realize this was separate from VeJin (shares a corner in the food court), but I’m so glad we were able to try the curry. I wish I could have come back to try more items off their menu!

Pros: Amazing food, Quick service , Adjacent to VeJin Ramen

Finally some good food in Shinjuku!

I like the concept of combining little dishes.
Everything tasted great.
It's convenient and nice that it is part of a big food court,
so chances to get a seat are always good.

No seating

Came outside of lunch or dinner hours and it was still too crowded to get a table. Not enough seating. Employee at plant based came to kick me out of the 2nd floor tables. Apparently it closes to customers outside a specific restaurant at 430. Part of the reason the issue even arrived is they are very slow preparing food.

Cons: No seating , Slow

cold and dry

I'm not sure if I just ordered the bad one on their menu but the soy fried chicken is not that good. It's hard and not hot (not even warm) like it just came out of the fridge, also the sauce is cold. The salad and side dish are fine. Quite disappointing as this is the only vegan food I did not enjoy on my 10-day Japan trip. Good thing I ordered the vegan ramen next to them, it was sooooo good! It's Vejin Ramen.

Tiny portions!

The food was tasty but nothing to write home about. The main issue was how tiny the portions were, I was so hungry I ordered extra food at the vegan ramen area. Thankfully there are so many options for vegan food in the same court, so great location! Food was also ready really fast.

Pros: Super fast, Location, Options

Cons: Tiny portions , Kinda overpriced for the size...

Ordered a meal with four side dishes

I was a bit doubtful about their food based on the reviews, but it was delicious, especially, the soy karaage. The place was nearly empty on Tuesday night. Will come back for sure.

Ordered seconds of the Sea Urchin Gratin, and the Fried Spy Chicken

Finding vegan food in Japan is difficult enough, let alone high quality and tasty such. PBT, based in a foodcourt well within walking distance from the Shinjuku station was well worth the travel and the cost.

Don't miss out on this fried soy chicken if it stays on the menu as a staple of this place as it should.

Pros: Fried soy chicken , Sea urchin gratin

Are there with my host brother and his partner Friday night wasn’t too noisy but getting close. The app
Was a challenge and my companions are Japanese. They aren’t vegan and said their meals were salty. I had the Bibimbap. Which looked pretty fabulous and had great flavours and it was incredibly salty. 5 hours and several cups of water later and my to tongue is still feeling overwhelmed.
I hope they fix the salty issue that I see a few others have written about as well. As it is has lots of potential.

Genuinely Tasty Bibimbap in a great spot

I’m confused by the recent negative reviews, my experience was entirely positive. The staff were friendly and my meal was nice.

Ordered a Vegan Bibimbap and the tiny Waffle. The waffle was good. Nothing special but sometimes you just want a waffle. Unfortunately it doesn’t not come with any toppings.

The Bibimbap however was great. I was sceptical of a Japanese Bibimbap but was pleased. It was served in a hot skillet and not a Dolsot. It had the usual complex range of kimchi flavours, with some Japanese flavoured soy meats thrown in. They are not as typically generous on sauce as an actual Korean Restaurant, but that’s hardly a complaint.

Not recommended

I like that everything is soy based.
But sadly it is not very tasty.
The fried chicken tasted like pure fat and felt greasy.
The Power salad was way to salty, even for me.
But i liked The toppings.
I hope they will improve in the future.
They are not awesome yet, but have Potential.

Sadly there where just one drink Option.

Lots of space to sit.

Good opening times.

Pros: Much space to sit, Good opening times, Easy to find

Cons: Greasy, Not tasty, No drink options

Mediocre Food, Mediocre Staff

The power salad was very salty. The Fried Chicken was fine, but the second type was way too crispy to eat.
The Cream Pasta was decent.
There are basically no drink options.

Pros: Comparably easy to find, Enough space to sit, Rather cheap

Cons: Mediocre Taste, Salty

Love this place

The food is so good and inexpensive. There’s no need to search for an expensive restaurant when the food is this good.

Pros: Taste, Price

Cons: They don’t have any desserts

Love it!

You’ll find this in a little food court where your group can choose from each place and eat together in the middle. You’re given a buzzer to collect your food when it’s ready. High seating.

Their dishes all looked fantastic. I wish I could try them all.

Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Pros: Plastic models of all of their dishes, Friendly staff, Great range

Cons: Not many drink options. Chilled tea bottles only.

Quick and tasty

Quick and yummy food with a good assortment of options.
I had the bibimbap and it was really flavourful and there was a surprising amount of food. We shared the “sea urchin” gratin and oh my goodness that was decadent and creamy! So tasty!

Food court vegan food

It was a good, on the go meal. The oyster gratin was super yummy and cheesy! The rest was tasty, but not very complex.

Fantastic Soymeat

canteen style restaurant in Shinjuku w/ good choice of different soymeats.

What I ate:

- a salad plate with 2 main dishes and one side dish of the day

- First main dish: Karaage (fried chicken style soymeat)

- Second main dish: Authentic double-cooked pork-style soymeat stir fried with cabbage, green peppers, and green onions

- Side dish: some kind of mashed potatoes with vegan feta cubes

The Salad came without dressing and the weird potatoe mash was just ok.

But the soymeats really caught me by suprise. The Karaage was very crispy but not as juicy as the one from Izakaya Masaka. The double cooked soymeat was pretty authentic and close to my memory of the original. Both main dishes had a good bite and chewiness to them. The sauces also really fitted them.

Worth a try just for the soymeats which they apparantely make themselves and also sell in their Online-Shop
