Nice lunch - Edit
The description of the food sounded a little bit better then what we got. Still was pretty tasty though. Also had the choice between several vegan dishes. Good for a quick bite!

Excellent vegan Japanese curry - Edit
Didn’t realize this was separate from VeJin (shares a corner in the food court), but I’m so glad we were able to try the curry. I wish I could have come back to try more items off their menu!

Finally some good food in Shinjuku! - Edit
I like the concept of combining little dishes.

It's convenient and nice that it is part of a big food court,
so chances to get a seat are always good.

No seating - Edit
Came outside of lunch or dinner hours and it was still too crowded to get a table. Not enough seating. Employee at plant based came to kick me out of the 2nd floor tables. Apparently it closes to customers outside a specific restaurant at 430. Part of the reason the issue even arrived is they are very slow preparing food.

cold and dry - Edit
I'm not sure if I just ordered the bad one on their menu but the soy fried chicken is not that good. It's hard and not hot (not even warm) like it just came out of the fridge, also the sauce is cold. The salad and side dish are fine. Quite disappointing as this is the only vegan food I did not enjoy on my 10-day Japan trip. Good thing I ordered the vegan ramen next to them, it was sooooo good! It's Vejin Ramen.

Tiny portions! - Edit
The food was tasty but nothing to write home about. The main issue was how tiny the portions were, I was so hungry I ordered extra food at the vegan ramen area. Thankfully there are so many options for vegan food in the same court, so great location! Food was also ready really fast.

Cons: Tiny portions , Kinda overpriced for the size...

Ordered a meal with four side dishes - Edit
I was a bit doubtful about their food based on the reviews, but it was delicious, especially, the soy karaage. The place was nearly empty on Tuesday night. Will come back for sure.

Ordered seconds of the Sea Urchin Gratin, and the Fried Spy Chicken - Edit
Finding vegan food in Japan is difficult enough, let alone high quality and tasty such. PBT, based in a foodcourt well within walking distance from the Shinjuku station was well worth the travel and the cost.

Read moreWas a challenge and my companions are Japanese. They aren’t vegan and said their meals were salty. I had the Bibimbap. Which looked pretty fabulous and had great flavours and it was incredibly salty. 5 hours and several cups of water later and my to tongue is still feeling overwhelmed.
I hope they fix the salty issue that I see a few others have written about as well. As it is has lots of potential.

Genuinely Tasty Bibimbap in a great spot - Edit
I’m confused by the recent negative reviews, my experience was entirely positive. The staff were friendly and my meal was nice.
Read moreOrdered a Vegan Bibimbap and the tiny Waffle. The waffle was good. Nothing special but sometimes you just want a waffle. Unfortunately it doesn’t not come with any toppings.
The Bibimbap however was great. I was sceptical of a Japanese Bibimbap but was pleased. It was served in a hot skillet and not a Dolsot. It had the usual complex range of kimchi flavours, with some Japanese flavoured soy meats thrown in. They are not as typically generous on sauce as an actual Korean Restaurant, but that’s hardly a complaint.

I like that everything is soy based.
Read moreBut sadly it is not very tasty.
The fried chicken tasted like pure fat and felt greasy.
The Power salad was way to salty, even for me.
But i liked The toppings.

Sadly there where just one drink Option.
Lots of space to sit.

Fantastic Soymeat - Edit
canteen style restaurant in Shinjuku w/ good choice of different soymeats.
Read moreWhat I ate:
- a salad plate with 2 main dishes and one side dish of the day
- First main dish: Karaage (fried chicken style soymeat)
- Second main dish: Authentic double-cooked pork-style soymeat stir fried with cabbage, green peppers, and green onions
- Side dish: some kind of mashed potatoes with vegan feta cubes
The Salad came without dressing and the weird potatoe mash was just ok.
But the soymeats really caught me by suprise. The Karaage was very crispy but not as juicy as the one from Izakaya Masaka. The double cooked soymeat was pretty authentic and close to my memory of the original. Both main dishes had a good bite and chewiness to them. The sauces also really fitted them.
Worth a try just for the soymeats which they apparantely make themselves and also sell in their Online-Shop
