Amazing people, Amazing food

Food was amazing and everyone was SUPER nice. It was a great experience

Can’t remember the name, but Mac n cheese, with pulled “pork” made with mushrooms, green pepper, onion, etc. GET THIS! It comes in a wrap or bowl. I loved the bowl at Plant Base in Jersey City

Inner city gem

They introduced themselves and their mission to support the inner city community with access to fresh foods. Food was so good.

Pros: Super friendly and welcoming., Food was great., Sourced locally as much as possible.

Absolutely stellar, a must-visit

I had the tacos with lion’s mane mushrooms in a BBQ tahini sauce, with sweet and gold potatoes which tasted so incredible. Cannot wait to come back here

Mouth watering Vegan Food

Today is the second time I’ve eaten at Plant Base. Everything I’ve had from here has been utterly appetizing and satisfying in all ways. I’ve never seen a mushroom taste so gosh darn good!! I def recommend! I look forward to my next visits. I tried the Zakk and the HB.

Great quick meal

Not a huge selection of menu items, but I can say the HB Bowl hit the spot. If you order a drink in a glass container you can return the container for $1.50 refund.

Amazing place and food

I’ve got the walnut based wrap delivered before, but today I stopped by and tried the Zak wrap. Super bomb and filling! Washed it down with some Elderberry kombucha on tap. Pierre was very friendly and I appreciate the hospitality. Looking forward to my next visit.

Pros: lots of vegan options , Waste free, Art, community, groceries, etc

Best wrap I've ever had!

Tried it as we were driving through Jersey! The zak wrap! OMG! Honestly one of the best vegan meals

LOVE THIS PLACE!

From walking in the front door, can feel all the love and passion from this place! Staff is so welcoming and makes the experience so much better! The Food was Best of The Best! I had Tacos and Carrot Cake Cupcake and let me tell you was so Amazing, I could live off this food! Not many places do that for me but this place did!

new spot

Relatively new vegan spot in jersey city. They’re very friendly, and the food was great. They also have some produce for sale, and items such as oats, dry beans, cleaner available to be put in your own or their (just $1-$2) glass containers. As a zero waste spot they also pack any leftovers in a compostable container upon request.

Pros: Plant based , Zero waste , Affordable

Cons: Cheeses and chorizo have nuts, if you’re allergic

Top Notch Food and Service

From eclectic decor to over the top customer service, Plant Base stands out as an oasis of what vegan food should be. The only complaint that my husband and I have is that we don't live closer. So, order with confidence. You can thank me later.

Amazing zero waste quaint

What a gem! Ask them what food they have. It’s rotating menu for evenings and random menu for brunch (at least on the weekend when i went). I felt like i was in someone’s home or a small cafe in Hawaii where there’s no menu and you just actually communicate with the humans there. Such a great place! Everything you need zero waste dry bulk food items, dish soap, cleaning soap, cute up-cycled shirts, lunch boxes, lotions, safety razors, etc etc. GO HERE! 🖤

Pros: 100% vegan , Zero waste!! , Homey & adorable & nice staff!

Nice little cafe

I stopped by the other day for lunch, and they had 2 lunch specials. A burger or chorizo tacos. I went with the tacos, and they were really good. I also bought some hummus and feta cheese (almond-based). The hummus was good but pretty standard. The feta cheese was excellent. It's a little pricey, but it's the best non-dairy one I've had. I look forward to going back.

To die for!

My friend and I had chorizo quesadilla with homemade chorizo and cheese, avocado and greens plus broccoli cheese soup. We were so full that we had to take it home. Bring your own jars and containers if you go. Super affordable!

Pros: Will definitely frequent this zero waste grocery.

Very nice staff and delicious food

We visited this place with my bf, got hotdogs and a burger, which were very delicious. The place is also a zero waste shop, so you can buy nuts, pasta, veggies and legumes in your containers. They also offer some homemade food, like vegan cheese and chocolate mousse. We really liked the whole concept.

Pros: They help people with vegan food :)
