Seriously the best meal I have EVER had.. And trust me, I know food. My husband and I savoured every bite and thanked the chef, she is amazing! We will be exploring Gili Air Meno in the next month but will most likely be back on Gili T to have another meal at this amazing venue.. that’s how magical the experience was! Do yourself a favour and visit this amazing cruelty-free restaurant, you won’t regret it.

We went to Pituq Waroeng during our honeymoon in May... my husband and I are both vegan and we didn’t have high hopes looking for a vegan restaurant on a tiny Indonesian island during a powerful! How wrong we were!! The staff here went above and beyond, adorning the tables with candles and showing us to our seats. All the food was still on and the waiters were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is 100% vegan (with some raw options too) and offers slot of the traditional Indonesian food that you will see elsewhere only cruelty free, fresh and so much tastier!! The dishes are fairly small so we ordered 3 starters and 3 mains between us ... and then some vegan dessert of course! The food was INCREDIBLE, absolutely 5 star. The fresh and fragrant flavours were amazing and all the dishes tasted different. Our favourite things were: coconut satay lilt (really fresh and fragrant); cauliflower taliwang (incredible huge pieces of crunchy cauliflower in a KFC chicken style ‘skin’ with beautiful tomato salsa.. incredible!!); pisang manis (vanilla cake with caramelised banana, chocolate and really fresh coconut cream). If you are vegan or not, the food here is beautiful and not to be missed! The restaurant has several big raised tables with cushions around to sit and chill with friends/ as a couple. The fresh juices, iced teas and local coffees are great also. Perfect place to go after watching the sunset on the NW coast on your way back to the central part of the island.

Wow, this place is incredible! Some of the tastiest food I’ve ever eaten. They serve small tapas style portions which is great as it allows you to sample lots of different dishes. Each dish was really distinct, you can tell that a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating the menu. And all beautifully presented too. The restaurant layout was simple and elegant, very tastefully done with lots of bamboo and comfortable seating. The value for money was outstanding, especially given the quality of the food. Pretty sure we are going back again tonight!

What a gem! We were lucky enough to visit Gili T a couple of weeks after the opening of Pituq Waerong and were very impressed with the great service and amazing flavours. We shared several small plates so we could try lots of things on the menu. We especially liked the choc mint smoothie and jackfruit curry. We visited again and again and wished we had a Pituq Waerong at home
