Good options but service was a little below par

There were a number of tasty pie fillings and it was good to see additional extras with vegan grated cheese and vegan mash. Didn't have a pudding and didn't look at the pizza options. Don't think there was much to suggest to improve given the main focus of their menu but we were a bit disappointed with the service when we were effectively thrown the cutlery tin on the table and nobody checked if we were happy with the food. The greeting we faced was below par too.

Pros: Choice of pies, Availability of vegan cheese

Fantastic, simple food

Food is great, especially the BBQ sausage pie. Best one without a doubt. They could do with doing a bit more variety but otherwise it's solid 👍🏼

Tasty!

Three vegan pies to choose from, accompanied by vegan mash, either beans or mushy peas plus gravy. We had the Balti Towers and the Nodogs pies and they were both delicious. The star of the show however were the minty mushy peas, these were incredible and we could have eaten a plate of just them! Was also a vegan dessert available if you still have room.

The whole restaurant is really quirky, there are some games like top trumps you can play while you wait for food and some tables are even hooked up to play a bit of Mario Kart on the Nintendo. Would definitely revisit if we are visiting Southampton again.

Pros: The mushy peas are amazing, Quirky, Games

Amazing!

Best pies I've ever eaten. We were in Winchester for 3 days and ate here twice. Has retro gaming systems to play as you eat. There's also a pie challenge called the pie scraper.. we took it on and failed, bur make sure you don't start until the pies are cool!

Awesome place

Choice of three vegan pies and several veggie ones, and some of them are also gluten free which was really handy for me. I had the fun guy which was mushrooms and walnuts, it was nice but what made it was the peppercorn sauce. Vegan mash and mushy peas also great. My boyfriend enjoyed his vegetarian pie and cheesy mash too. Really loved the comic book/superhero/Star Wars etc interior and we played Super Mario on Super Nintendo while we waited for our food! Staff really nice also.

Pros: Friendly staff , Great choice of vg pies , Awesome decor

So fun!

I loved the fun, geeky decor and would love to go back when I have a little more time and hang out and play games with friends. They had a good selection of vegetarian and vegan pies and sides. I got the Fun Guy (mushrooms and walnuts!). The filling was tasty, but the pastry was really tough. It happened to be one of the pies with a GF crust, so maybe that’s why. My boyfriend got the veggie chili pie with the normal crust and he said his was fine. I would definitely go back and try one of the pies that isn’t GF

Pros: Lots of options, Super fun decor, Good value for money

Cons: GF crust super tough to cut

First visit

I had just downloaded the HappyCow App and saw this place! Small and quirky but a very friendly and relaxed place to eat. I had a Porky Pie which was jackfruit based while my husband ate a steak and stilton pie. It was great to have vegan choices and the meal included a vegan mash and gravy option too. Both of us really rated the pies and will definitely go back again.

Pros: Great pies

Cons: Quite small

Small but great!

Friendly service and cool comic book decor, with tasty vg pie, mash & gravy. I should point out, it’s the place that’s rather small, not the portion size, which is decent!

choice of vegan pies!

Great to find vegan pie and mash! Served with mushy peas and vegan gravy. Four vegan pie choices on the day we went! We both decided on the jackfruit, which was delicious. Nice relaxed and friendly place, we went there all muddy after finishing the south downs way and felt comfortable.

Pros: vegan pie and mash, mushy peas, lots of gravy

Good value, tasty vegan options

Went here passing through Winchester on the way to a race. Perfect carb up food! On the day I visited there were three vegan options on the regular menu plus one special. Food is reasonably priced with good portion sizes. The pie itself had lovely pastry (I had the gluten free "Glutey Call" special). Mushy peas and gravy also very good.

On the non-food side, I was a bit disappointed that the "comic shop" was just one shelf of commercial comic issues. I'd hoped for a wider selection of Indy graphic novels and/or local zines... But maybe better for my bank balance that they weren't there!

Pros: Great vegan options at decent prices, Friendly staff, Cool decor

Cons: Also serves meat :(, Needs more comics ;)

YUM

We stumbled on Piecaramba thanks to happycow.net. perfect for a quick vegetarian or vegan lunch. I had the vegan pulled jackfruit pie. A savory pie. The pastry was lovely. Golden, flaky and morish. You can order a meal, put I just had a pie. It came with a small pitcher of vegan onion gravy. It was also tasty, but I didn't think it would go with the filing. Any way the filling was moist and the pie didn't need gravy. A good price at £5.50

Pros: Lovely pies, Cool devor, Good price

Cons: Only one vegan choice, Too many meat options, No sweet pie
