Happy For Vegetarian/Vegan Pho Today

I had a tough workout and wanted Pho. It is Sunday an Phonatic is open. I called ahead to see what options they had for Vegans. The Vegetarian pho is in vegetable broth. So That is what I ordered, with extra noodles and added tofu. Absolutely Delicious!

Delicious Veggie Pho

I enjoy the veggie pho. I think it has big chunks of tofu, bok choy, carrots, broccoli, and typical pho extras like basil mung bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. It’s giant, tasty, and a consistent option. I’m guessing the pho is loaded with MSG. My mom is sensitive to that, so it gives her a pretty bad headache, but it doesn’t affect me. I do feel bloated the next day though. I like salt, and I like it, so it’s probably loaded. I especially enjoy going here when it’s chilly. Hard to beat a big bowl of yummy, warm soup.

Vegetarian Broth

I’m on a clear fluid diet so came for the vegetarian broth. It tasted great and was priced reasonably.

Not bad

Confusion over what was vegan when I asked. Pho didn't have many vegetables.
They can make noodle bowls or rice bowls vegan and it's ok.

Pros: Several vegan options

Was Okay

Came here for the vegan pho option since I was craving pho for a while. Was not that impressed since the broth was not that flavorful. It also had too many straw mushrooms and bamboo shoots in my opinion.

Pros: Staff knew what was vegan

Cons: Vegan pho was disappointing

Good for quick Vietnamese

Food is served quickly. They seem knowledgeable about what the vegan options are.
