Pleasant overall dining experience

It's a very neat, clean place. The dining area is large, with lots of booths and some regular tables in the middle. It's a quiet family-operated restaurant, so it has character, which I really appreciated.

The plating was nicer than that of most other similar restaurants in this part of the country. We ordered a lot of different items--two appetizers, two main dishes, some dim sum, and Thai Milk Tea with oat milk. It was exciting to have everything brought out. (Warning: Really annoying talking robotic server with a black cat face was rolling around serving water and beverages.)

I am not sure how to describe the food--I think most things looked better than they tasted. Nothing tasted "bad", but nothing was "delicious" either.

My friend definitely enjoyed his fresh tofu spring rolls and tofu hibachi dish. I found the spring rolls a little dry and ordinary, although the tofu in them was good. My rice bowl was the biggest disappointment--maybe this is what rice bowls are supposed to be like, but I didn't like that the broccoli, corn, and carrot-daikon (?) were refrigerator cold. The broccoli seemed like it had been lightly steamed or blanched before being refrigerated, but it still felt mostly raw. Fortunately, the tofu and rice were warm. I think the tofu was age tofu. It was too dry and tough for me, sadly.

I think I most enjoyed the steamed buns. I love dim sum!
