Pepito's has a vegan section on the menu!!!

I always feel suspect eating food from chain locations, but this was a great customer service experience with people that seemed knowledgeable about vegan options. A separate vegan section would lead most to think that it is vegan, that's only true some of the time. Here it was true.

I had asked the waiter if I could add the vegan chicken into my enchiladas and he did. When my dish came out it had cheese on it, and dread came upon me, like many other times. Was the cheese really vegan. Well I can't tell, the quality of vegan cheese available now is so good and so varied.

I asked for the manager and we chatted. He told me it was vegan and that they are learning about the whole vegan thing and for sure, it is safe to eat. I said, "cause I am allergic to dairy." I was really nervous about it.

After starting to eat, it was delicious. It needed a few more veggies, but getting vegan chicken and fresh vegetables, that is admirable. I was very appreciative of how they cared for the word vegan and the situation.

Delicious!

I live locally, but had never tried Pepito's before. I went with three business colleagues for a business lunch. As the previous review mentioned, Pepitos has vegan options in a separate section of the menu all clearly labeled. I ordered the vegan bowl, and got one to go for my husband. It did not disappoint! No need to guess how to veganize a menu option, or wade through looking for accidentally vegan side dishes to try to fabricate a meal. In addition to vegan bowl, there was vegan burrito, tacos, enchilada, and fajitas. My other dining companions had traditional omnivore fare.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan meal options, Real vegan meals and not just side dishes , Friendly staff

Cons: Parking can be a challenge in this shopping mall

Great place with delicious options!

I stumbled upon this restaurant on IG and curiosity led me to their menu. I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan section! When I visited, I had their vegan queso fundido and vegan chicken fajitas. The food was delicious! I'm looking forward to trying this place again soon!

Pros: Plenty vegan options clearly labeled on the menu., Super friendly staff!, Nice location!
