Give Peas A Chance - Edit
Very friendly and welcoming cafe, with an affordable comfort food menu.
Read moreWe shared the bac'n topped mac 'n' cheeze and a ham 'n' cheeze savoury crepe, with a portion of potato cubes.
Our dishes were tasty and seasoned well, but the garlic bread was on the small size and in strips, whilst the homemade tomato chutney was missed off from our crepe order. We didn't realise until after we left though!
Our son also got a Mr Whippy with caramel sauce and marshmallows that was excellent, and the coffee and iced oat latte were really good too.

Hi, I'm so sorry that you didn't get the crepe served as described on the menu. I wasn't in myself today to oversee, I'll make sure that everyone knows going forward. Thank you too for the feedback I. Garlic bread, we've just switched to making our own, so again probably a training issue with how the flat breads should be served. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit otherwise, but once again apologies that things weren't quite right!

Peas and Libertea - Edit
I found this café really hard to review. The staff were so lovely, and while my food didn’t meet my expectations, the way they handled the situation was genuine. Businesses that ask for feedback and do their best to make things right are always appreciated — I’d give them 5 stars for that alone.
Read moreThat said, I try to write honest reviews, and for me, the food just wasn’t up to the standard of many other cafés I’ve visited on this particular occasion. They had run out of bread, which meant several menu options weren’t available. I’d seen an earlier review mention savoury crêpes — although those are no longer on the menu, they do make sweet ones and are happy to adjust the fillings. I went for a cheeze and ham crêpe, but unfortunately couldn’t eat most of it. The crêpe itself was very chewy and dry. The cheeze hadn’t melted, had a plasticky consistency, and the flavour and smell were unpleasant. I know vegan cheeze can be divisive, and I’m not sure what brand was used, but unfortunately this one didn’t work for me.
On the positive side, the whippy ice cream was delicious! Overall, a tough one to rate and review, but I really appreciated the kind service and hope to visit again one day to try something else.

Love the concept of this cafe & lovely to come to a place with no danger of cross contamination & where I could have a GF oat flat white.
Read moreHot food menu was short & offered standard fast food type dishes. I went for the burger with side of potato cubes whilst my husband had the sausage sandwich with add ons of bacon & hash browns. The food was OK & decent value for money.
Didn’t try the pancakes or ice cream desserts but did buy couple of ‘cheese’ & herb scones to take home.
Pros: Allergy/coeliac safe, Friendly vibe , GF oat milk

Peas & Libertea is a warm, welcoming café that caters to a variety of dietary needs — everything is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and entirely vegan.
I had a lovely chat with the owner, who shared their vision of creating a safe and inclusive space for neurodivergent individuals and the LGBTQ community. They also host a wide range of social events~ definitely check out their website to see what’s coming up!
The cafe can also be booked for private events, so if you’re planning something special, get in touch with them to discuss the details.
I recently attended one of their art sessions and had a great time! It was a relaxed, creative atmosphere, and the £22 fee included all materials plus a free drink.
To eat, I had the kimchi mac ‘n’ cheeze topped with kale, served with a side of home made garlic bread.
blueberry milkshake made with oat milk, which was smooth, sweet, and refreshing.
Another bonus? Peas & Libertea has a doggy menu too — perfect if you’re bringing along your furry friend!
Before I left, I picked up a Rocky Road and a biscuit to take home for my husband — both were a hit! My total came to £20 for the food and treats.
