Great food, loud location. - Edit
I have the street tacos and the Mediterranean wrap. Both were delicious.
Read moreThey have a good menu, many desserts and some things ready to go, like kale chips, granola, juices.
The restaurant is on a busy street, so it is not the most peaceful place to eat at. But for sure a great option for raw food and for take out.

One of a Kind Raw Vegan Experience - Edit
Peace Pies is one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego - 100% vegan, 100% raw, 100% unbelievable! Their flavors and execution are flawless every time, everything is deliciously satisfying and fresh, and their desserts are as decadent as they are beautiful.
Read moreMust tries: the Majestic Mediterranean Wrap with sprouted falafel in a coconut toritlla, Cheezy Kelp n' Kale (kelp noodles in a cashew cream sauce), and the Mysytical Mushroom Quesadilla (get it with the walnut meat upgrade!) And no trip to Peace Pies would be complete without one of their amazing, seasonally rotating, vegan desserts (like dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake).

Wish they could be eco friendly though. Plastic instead of alternatives and they don’t recycle. A number of stuff things premade in refrigerator.

Unique spot, pricey food - Edit
I’ve been here twice now. The first time we had an exceptional (and crave-worthy) mushroom cashew quesadilla. Because of that one dish, we came back and decide to branch out.
Read moreWe had the mango wrap, the raw lasagna, falafels, and 2 shakes. Everything but the mango wrap was a bust.. this could be because I don’t yet have the palette for raw food...but for spending $70 , I wouldn’t ever get anything besides that quesadilla.
The falafels were crumbling and were chilled, which threw me off. The lasagna was disappointing because it was nothing like lasagna (again, it’s raw). The milkshakes were hard to get through as well, decent upfront flavor, then hit with a strange aftertaste (dates?). The mango curry wrap was not a hit with my bf, but I actually enjoyed that a lot. It was sweet and light.
I give this place 5 stars for the beautiful plating of the food, 2 stars for taste (again I’m new to raw food), 5 stars for the environment and staff.
Pros: All vegan, all raw , Some delicious options , Cute spot
Cons: Expensive , Food not hitting the mark (for me) , Parking

The BEST restaurant in San Diego - Edit
I haven’t had a bad meal here. The desserts are amaaaaazing. Everything is raw and it’s so so good.
Read moreI dream of the kale chips, I use to go on a weekly basis but sadly the Encinitas location burned down. The voltaire street tacos are my absolute favorite made with walnut meat!
Their almond milk is the best I’ve had! And if you’re lucky enough to go on a day where they’ve made their Tiramisu, get it! You won’t be disappointed!! Pick up the cookbook while there! It’s the greatest!
Pros: Kale chips , Their many dessert options

Delicious Vegan Raw choices - Edit
What a chill vibe, the service was kind and all questions answered. Plenty of delicious options to take away or eat there. Many sweet options, to include four different vegan cheesecakes. it takes a little bit to get the order but it's well worth the wait. Outdoor and indoor seating. It was a bit chilly inside would bring a light jacket. I had the quesadilla.

Delicious, raw treats - Edit
We tried the cookie dough cheesecake and strawberry pie. Both were delicious and we didn’t feel guilty after indulging in it. There was a very nice lady that worked there that helped us pick out our treats. As any raw place can be expected - the prices were a little expensive compared to the portions

Old skool raw vegan - the healthiest food LOVE IT - Edit
Thank goodness for an all-raw vegan restaurant in San Diego! I’m a long-term high raw vegan from Los Angeles and the vegan cuisine in SD seems to lean more towards deep fried, soy based comfort food. Delicious but not super healthy, even if vegan. Such a relief to find a true health spot with more than juice and smoothies at Peace Pies! SO much more! The deserts are bountiful and works of art. The menu is long with lots of variety. The people working here have that hippie, min-violence, nature-loving vibe straight from the heart. That’s health food.

Delicious raw food! - Edit
I am not raw but do dabble with raw meals and sometimes full days. This place has great flavors and you don’t even notice you are eating raw which is great for dinner especially. The quesadilla was the best thing we ordered and the staff suggested it as a customer favorite. Kale chips were also great and they have so many flavorful options. Had to order dessert (raw vegan toffee anyone!? So good!) and we liked that as well. Will definitely be back!

Amazing - Edit
I have to say, at first I was very hesitant of trying this place only for the simple matter that I don’t typically eat raw unless it’s a salad at home. This place is amazing and definitely has opened my eyes into wanting to incorporate more raw vegan options I to my diet. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone that is curious in trying raw vegan food. You won’t be disappointed.

seriously amazing - Edit
Peace Pies is seriously amazing. I’ve had their mushroom stroganoff, which was out of the ballpark great, but the kelp noodles are variable and one time, it just wasn’t up to par. The owner immediately took it off the bill. The mushroom quesadilla is fantastic also and I took some friends and they all got it and agreed it was great. Their guacamole puts other guacamole to shame. It’s crazy good. The desserts are phenomenal, my favorite is the strawberry pie. I’ve tried their chocolates and cheesecake and chocolate pie and it’s all so ridiculously good. I just wish there was a PP in NYC. I’d be there every day!

Good Food - Edit
I usually don't eat raw food, but I find I have more choices of what I can eat at this restaurant. They do not use soy or gluten which I am avoiding. I had the pizza the first time I came and it was very good. I had the mushroom quesadilla made with coconut flour instead of corn, YEAH. It fell apart but I didn't mind because it was so tasty. My husband had noodles and nori. He is vegetarian he liked the food and so do I.

good for the world - Edit
Small raw food store and also serves food. Everything in the store is plant based and I'm so glad that there is a full raw restaurant. I had the mushroom stroganoff and my bf had the bliss burger, the burger had an onion cracker for the bun and the mushroom stroganoff is served cold. 2 things I didn't expect but I had never eaten fully raw food before it was made with love. The store features v butters, v cheeses, fresh juices, coconut tortillas, and plenty desserts.
