Mixed thoughts

So upon arrival I’m not going to lie, I was a little weirded out by the decor. 😱so when I got past that and decided to stay I was pleasantly surprised. The fried pickles with homemade ranch and biscuits and gravy were so flavorful and comforting. My carnivore family members lovedit also,

Edit/ third visit- I decided to try something new and opted for the jambalaya… extremely disappointed. The rice I’m almost positive was minute rice cooked in a bag, no bueno.
The jambalaya tasted like a pile of mush with a bottle of hot sauce ….pickles were not as good as I remembered. I ate the food but it was a let down. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Plant based menu is nice

They have a plant based menu upon request. It would be nice if they were included in the regular menu, otherwise people wouldn't know they had vegan options.
The baked beans and BBQ tempeh were very good. The Mac and cheese was okay but nothing special.

Full vegan menu!

Menu says “plant-based”, but I confirmed it’s all vegan. Some of the best vegan food in the area! Found due to Happy Cow on a visit to Battle Creek, and went twice. Fried pickles are great, and they have some of the best vegan ranch I’ve ever had. I don’t usually like Beyond Burger (I prefer Impossible), but the burger was delightful. Also tried the soy curl BBQ sandwich…was not a fan. The Mac and cheese had a little spice to it, which I really liked. Fries were tasty. This is definitely “bar food”, so it’s pretty heavy, and don’t expect anything gourmet..but definitely a home run.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan menu, Delicious

Cons: Nothing on the light side…all pretty heavy/greasy

meh

the soy curls tasted a bit like play doh. the potato skins were pretty good, but nothing special. the nachos could have used more than 2 toppings (perhaps a veggie?)

this kind of seems like a minimum level of food (like this is vegan, but not necessarily really tasty food). Would recommend tasting the dishes and seeing how flavorful/interesting they are.

Pros: there’s a vegan menu

Cons: vegan meat was not tasty, food is very basic

Top Rate Plant-Based-Menu

We tried Pasche’s Plant-Based Menu upon recommendation from everyone on Happy Cow suggesting it. I had Vegan Mac and Cheese side as well as Nachos. It tasted good, but I want to return and try other things on this Plant-Based Menu that others recommended. My boyfriend tried the Beyond Burger Deluxe and said it tasted phenomenal. I’ve attached photos. Enjoy!

Pros: Entire Plant-Based Vegan Menu, Spicy flavour and definitely flavourful., Something for everyone and reasonably priced.

Cons: Fries were okay not my favourite., A little tricky to find., There is no all-you-can-eat buffet.

Seafood place with options

You have to ask for the plant based menu, but once you get that everything is good. They had to make our vegan ranch so things took a bit longer than the seafood tables, but I was glad for the options so didn’t mind the wait.

Pros: Lotsa vegan options

Separate Plant Based Menu

What a surprise to find a whole menu of vegan options at a seafood restaurant!

The food style is Southern and cajun so the options lean towards BBQ and mac and cheese.
The fried pickles and cajun hummus were great appetizers.

We chose the jambalaya with tofu and rice which was delicious.
We also had the smokey BBQ tempeh salad. This is just a salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, croutons) but they do a fantastic job with the smokey BBQ tempeh. Their homemade ranch is quite good.

2 dessert options the night we were there...chocolate cheesecake (not made in house so we skipped it) and walnut topped fudge brownie. The brownie was made in house, good and a huge serving, plenty for 2 people.

This is a restaurant adjacent to a hotel. It was very crowded but we were seated quickly and once our order was taken served pretty quickly.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Large portions , Separate menu

Cons: Vegan choice but not a lot of vegetables.

Great Vegan Option!

Wow! If I could give five stars, I would! (App didn’t let me.) We had the BBQ Soy Curl sandwich, the Beyond Burger Deluxe and the fried pickles- killer, all around! Loved it.

Unique vegan dining for the area

Specially selected nights you can go in and pay one price for a vegan buffet and on other days there are a few options on the regular menu. They even had a vegan breakfast buffet on Easter. The food is okay, but mostly hot wet food, usually not a lot of fresh and some of it is a little odd, but they make their own vegan cheese and other things from scratch, so maybe it is just not quite what I am used to. The Easter buffet was amazing and had a ton of options including biscuits and gravy! It’s a cool event and we have gone several times to support it and will go again. If you are a big eater it is also a really good deal for vegan food.
