Good but not amazing food ( though my non vegan son was very impressed ) . Ordered by bar code which seems a bit daft in a tiny space ( they did mix up our order a bit because of this ) .nice vibe in an interesting area.

We ate here multiple times during our short stay in Osaka. Everything was delicious, good portions, well thought out and fresh. Staff was welcoming and it’s located in a nice neighborhood to wander around in.

Nice quiet spot with lots of choice. Went for the katsu curry myself which was lovely. Chips were great. Got gyoza too which weren't the best I've eaten but also ate them when I was full at the end of the meal so maybe that was why. Would defo recommend!

Standard option in Osaka - Edit
"Papurika restaurant" is something of a phenomenon in Osaka. Whenever people talk about vegan food in Osaka, Papurika seems to be the de facto standard. And after visiting, I understand why. It's easy to find, has a hip and modern vibe and offers a wide variety of vegan foods. Please note that it can be busy for dinner, when I visited the place was packed!
Read moreBased on recommendation of another Happy Cow user I ordered the tempeh set meal. It was very greasy, but that does make it easy to eat. There's quite some variety in the plate with a mini salad, some marinated vegetables, miso soup and rice. I also ordered a green smoothie, which was also okay (and large!)
Except for that fact that one has to order via a QR-code, I can recommend Papurika restaurant and
understand why it's the de facto standard in Osaka.

Had the Burger with Fries and i wouldn't recommend it. From the other reviews you should probably take the Set Menu.
