We ordered off the vegan menu.

Garlic bread - 5 slices, spring rolls - 2 small rolls. All very good.
Main Dishes:
Sauteed Seasonal Vegetables and Stuffed Grapevine Leaves.
Everything was nice.
The staff very attentive, warm, friendly, knowledgeable.
But we left feeling like something was missing.
Unsatisfied culinarily speaking.
We bought oreos and potato chips on the way home.
If its your only option its fine, but youre likely better off elsewhere.

Read moreI ordered the homemade vegan meatballs, expecting a proper vegan version of a classic dish. I had not read the menu properly and assumed they came with spaghetti, but instead I was offered mashed potato, chips or a jacket potato. I asked whether the mashed potato was vegan and was told it was not, so I ordered the chips.
When the chips arrived, they were hard and undercooked. Instead of taking the whole plate back to the kitchen, I was told to scrape the chips onto another plate so fresh chips could be made.
While waiting for the replacement chips, my meatballs and salad were left sitting on the table in front of me, getting colder. Later, when I raised my concerns, the manager suggested my food was cold because I was sitting underneath a fan. That was not the reason. The reason my food was cold was because the chips had been sent back and I was left waiting with the rest of my meal sitting in front of me while fresh chips were prepared.
When the fresh chips arrived, I tried the vegan meatballs. They were extremely disappointing. They were not what I would expect from a meatball dish. They were basically dry, deep-fried falafel with some green herbs inside. They were dry, tasteless and had no sauce. A meatball should come in sauce, not as a dry fried ball with no flavour.
The manager saw that I had not eaten the meatballs, but nobody checked whether everything was okay during the meal.
At the end of the meal, because I had barely eaten the food, I asked the manager for a discount. He initially offered 10%, which I explained was not enough considering I had not eaten the meal.
During this conversation, he said that he had noticed I had not eaten my food, but that I had been busy on my phone. I explained that this was not the point. His staff had seen me sitting there with my food untouched and nobody checked whether everything was okay. If someone is sitting at a table using their phone, that does not mean staff should not serve them, offer them a drink, or carry out a basic check-back.
I explained that I am a waitress, a chef and a lawyer, and that I understand the importance of checking back with customers. At no point did anyone ask whether I was okay with my food.
He then said he would give me 30% off. However, when the bill arrived, only 20% had been deducted.

Has separate vegan and vegetarian menus. Vegan menu has appetisers, salads and main dishes like tofu and basmati rice and different pastas.

Unfortunately most vegan main dishes were not available, but the servers were very helpful and offered me possible options. The vegetarian options were more available, so if you are not strictly plant-based might work. Might be because of the peak season because the menu did have some nice dishes
