Unexpected visit!

Staying just down the road we realised we needed to find somewhere to eat! Searched on this app and this was the nearest option. We phoned them and they squeezed us in. So very pleased we did. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Ordered two dishes and rice and shared. Absolutely beautiful food. Had a lovely time.

Pros: Staff exceptional , Food outstanding

Upstairs at the Red Lion

Guided by existing reviews on Happy Cow, we ventured upstairs to the Red Lion’s restaurant, Pad Thai. We were guided to our table, ordered drinks and food, sat back and relaxed in anticipation of great food. We had been told that most things, apart from soup, could easily be ‘veganised’ so looked forward to our battered vegetables, pad Thai, pad se ew, jasmine rice and corn fritters. The prices were modest, the selection of drinks available vast, and it seemed like a great meeting place for locals. The restaurant soon filled up and we were grateful our order was taken beforehand. The food did not disappoint and we were so happy to have found somewhere that gave us particularly good flavour and service. Thank you, Pad Thai! 😀

Pros: Good vegan options, Centrally located , Good atmosphere in a traditional pub setting

Thai Dishes in Central Wokingham

Pub that serves a variety of Thai dishes including noodles, curries, and veggie dishes. The server said pretty much most of their dishes noodle/curry/rice can be made vegan. We had the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew off the lunch menu which were both good. They also had a more extensive menu for dinner with even more options. We came on a weekday for lunch in August and it wasn’t busy and has lots of seating.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Great value for money and tastey food!

This was a great restaurant for a vegan, veggie and meat eater. They offered tailored meals for more fussy eaters and also checked on occasions to verify the dietary requirements per meal. For 3 of us to have 3 starters, a main each plus rice and noodles - this totalled £56! That did include 3 beers!

Pros: Accommodated for completed vegan on all dishes , Provided suggestions as add ons for the food, Great customer service and great value for money!
