Great place, vibes and food - Edit
Came here twice and had the unlimited buffet. Buffet options are amazing and it costs €9 with water included. Options included salads, a grain (e.g. couscous/farro), a pasta/parmigiani etc. You may need to ask them to heat your buffet food. Service is good and the restaurant has good vibes.

Cena vegana buona - Edit

Decreased vegan offering😒 - Edit
A nice place with very friendly and helpful staff, but they REDUCED their vegan options considerably by having only egg-based pasta. Why?! There is no easier way to increase the vegan options than to offer egg-free pasta, why do the reverse?! So there was not much to choose from, but what there was was good.

Great place! Great buffet and good service - Edit
We stopped here for lunch. It's got a "all you can eat" option for only 9 euros. The food is really good and fresh. They refurbished the buffet twice. The service is fast and the restaurant is very nice. Big stone walls and wooden tables. I really liked the soup and the mushrooms.

Excellent food, cozy restaurant, good value - Edit
My boyfriend and I discovered this gem last year by chance and it was so good we came back a second time on the same trip, and again on this trip a year later. Innovative and flavorful vegetarian Italian food (with many vegan options). Nice ambiance and friendly waitstaff. The menu includes appetizers, soups, pastas, “main” dishes, fruit, and desserts.

A nice buffet lunch - Edit
We had a good meal here. A buffet is always good especially for my partner to fill up! The food was definitely good, though not amazing. Unfortunately as it was a Sunday it was 15euros instead of 9euros as I’ve read in other posts, so that was disappointing. They did include sparkling water however which was nice!

Indulgence fest - Edit
Lovely vegetarian restaurant with a quirky interior and quirkier staff who took care of our evening. The over the board Italian hospitality and welcome, actually put us in ease to experiment.
Read moreAnd the wine recommendation was good too.
We had for starters - arancini and frittata. The portions were generous and extravagant. The food was delicious and it was indulgence henceforth.
We ordered 2 pastas - pesto/strawberry and mushrooms/sundries tomatoes. They were both very big plates and rich in cream. Pasta was fresh, al dente and beautifully presented.
It was rather too much and we valiantly drank wine and gulped the last morsel - wiping the plate clean with lovely bread.
All this at an affordable not over-the-top price too.
Attached photos and yes - highly recommend.
Note: you will experience some good natured banter if you struggle to finish. So just take your ordering easy for the helping is extravagant.
Pros: Vegetarian fare, Generous portions, Not too expensive

Good food! Stylish place - Edit
The food was well presented and tasty. It was a nice surprise on my first evening ever in Rome. All the ingredients were really fresh. Lunch buffet is supposed to be good also, and at 9€... how can it be bad?! I recommend and will definitely return.

Fast and friendly - Edit
I just ate a delicious vegan dish of hummus which came with cooked radicchio, raw starfruit and toasted bread 🍞 with sesame seeds. I also enjoyed a hot red fruit tea. The service was friendly and fast! The decoration inside the restaurant is creative art, they have very high ceilings which create a majestic ambiente. The lights are soft with a warm color and they play vocal music. They offer space for atleast 50 humans. See you again soon!

Several vegan options - Edit
There were several vegan options available which is nice. The English menu is a little confusingly translated but still clearly marked vegan (denoted as ‘veg.’) the food came out quite fast but was unfortunately luke warm and a bit soggy like it had maybe been under a heat lamp (not saying this is so, just for reference.) Having said that, the flavor was good and there’s plenty of seating including outdoor. Also a large wine list.

cozy environment, delicious food!! - Edit
Loved it!! Tried their “ all you can eat” vegetarian buffet and ate a varied and abundant lunch for just 9€! I’m mostly vegan but it was fun to try all of their food... the waiter kept on bringing new dishes to the buffet table and I just wanted to have a taste of everything!! I’d say it’s 50% vegetarian and 50% vegan. So much choice!!! I’d love it to be fully vegan but I enjoyed my lunch indeed. My omni mum approved it too!

We didn’t speak Italian so struggled to read the menu but one waiter was very helpful. There were limited vegan choices despite advertising as a vegan friendly restaurant.

Great vegan/vegetarian food - Edit
Quite a large space with a bar. They open for lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 7:30. Very friendly staff who speak quite good English. They have a menu in English. The vegetables are all organic.
Read moreThe brunch was awesome with a huge selection of food, and you can eat completely vegan if you choose too. When I am travelling I normally am more relaxed about having eggs, milk and honey in my food. It is eat all you can for 9 euros. A glass of wine will cost you 5 euros, a bottle about 18 euros.
I went back for dinner and again was very satisfied with the large selection.
You have to try Orto for yourself!

Found this place on our last night - Edit
Super cute, super delicious! I was struggling finding good, vegetarian, and lactose-free food that was satisfying here in Rome, but this place fulfilled all my hopes and dreams! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Even my non-veg brother in law liked it. The ravioli and Zia Maria New were excellent.

We went for lunch and it was only 9 euros for an all you can eat buffet. The food itself wasn't anything special but it was decent, very affordable and there was a huge selection ranging from Italian food to salads, deserts and lots more. The a la carte menu also looked really nice but we didn't have the chance to try it unfortunately. Close to the city centre, Vatican, Saint Angelo etc. Quite a big space but was busy for lunch when we went although they squeezed 7 of us in.
