Delicious cakes - Edit
We came by just when they where closing to see if they still had some cakes to go. They did and we bought two: matcha cream and persimmon chocolate. Both where amazing and one of the best vegan cakes I’ve had. They where very rich, perfectly sweet and had an amazing texture. Highly recommend!

Very interessting neighborhood I never would have discovered if I wasn't searching for this resataurant. Even though the restaurant (kitchen) was about to close they let us in and made us some great dinner box and two burgers to go! We apprechiate that tons since we were so hungry! We also had the chance to buy some vegan instant ramen which were a great souvenir.

Hidden small cafe/restaurant with a tasty dinner set. Nothing extravagant but well-made good food, very non-pretentious. 1500 yen for a dinner set.

Organic House Salute is in a tiny room in a tiny alley that shoots off of another tiny alley. It is close to the Kyoto Station though, which makes it less confusing.
Read moreWe both had the vegan curry set. It came with curry, rice, salad and mayo, and two delicious cups of unidentified fruit and sauce. It took all of my self control to not lick the plate clean. Great price and absolutely worth it.
For lunch dessert we had a caramel nut cake, which looked a bit like a pecan pie. It was fantastic and a delicious way to end a wonderful experience.
The restaurant itself is very traditional looking, if a bit small. I kept bumping my head on the ceiling and doorways. Despite that I loved the atmosphere. The restaurant was full of locals and for good reason

A not so easy to find (look at photos to recognize )little place but worth the effort. Delicious lunch set menu at a very good price. They also serve a la carte. Lovely and welcoming staff. Everything was very fresh and the flavors well balanced. We also had a sweet bun and lemongrass tea, both very enjoyable. We highly recommend this over other places in the area. It’s small though and fills up fast.
