Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant run by a couple who have an on-site garden where most vegetables are sourced from. Regular menu does not include a vegan option but usually has a vegan dinner (spinach chickpea curry with rice) on the specials menu and a vegan dessert item such as cocoa/date/coconut balls. Also accommodating of special requests and happy to serve vegans. Open Wed-Sun 9:00am-5:00pm.

delicious pumpkin curry - Edit
I arrived morning during storm, they had no electricity but they offered my coffee and to stay at fireplace. Nice people and good vegan option. I had pumpkin curry chickpea with rice and nann break which was yummy. I met another vegan customer that had mushroom burger.

Good vegan curry - Edit
It's great that we stumbled upon a place to eat vegan in Orepuki while camping! It was a bit expensive, but seriously delicious (and the vegan food was cheaper than the carnivorous options, which is so nice!). Thank you very much.

Good vegan option - Edit
We rang up in advance to check they had vegan options and spoke to the chef who was very accommodating and friendly. They had a soup and a chickpea curry which were both on special which were vegan. Also had oat milk.

Great vegan friendly option in rural area! - Edit
We arrived on a Friday night and they already had a vegan spinach chickpea curry on the specials menu. Having already eaten chickpeas for lunch, I asked if they could possibly make me something else vegan. The waitress immediately offered to make roasted mushrooms and veggies, but I asked for a salad instead.
Read moreThey really delivered; it was one of the most beautiful and unique salads I've had. It was topped with fresh edible flowers and had pickled onions, olives, and fresh lettuce and a variety of herbs from their very own garden! It paired very well with the local sauvignon blanc recommended by the waitress.
They also had a vegan offering on their dessert menu: a chocolate coconut date ball, although I didn't try it. Overall they were incredibly accommodating and given the rural area the excellent vegan meal was a lovely surprise! I hope this review helps other vegans who visit this beautiful area! :)
Pros: Comfortable dining area and beautiful view, Delicious food, Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: They do serve meat, No vegan items on their regular menu, Wish they had a better vegan dessert option
