Vegan extra-friendly - Edit
I went with a table full of vegans so got to try all the vegan options. The dishes are great for sharing if you’re with a group. The food was incredible, delicious, creative beautifully prepared. The staff was gracious and accommodating even when our reservation for six turned into a table of 15.

We ordered three main dishes (roasted carrots, fried eggplants and green beans) for two people. They were delicious and the combinations between vegetables and creams were always great. The waiter was professional, patient and kind. The location is underground. It looks like a cozy cave. The place fills up very quickly. Reservation suggested.

Fully vegetarian menu with vegan options. The waiter was very helpful and suggested ordering 3 dishes between 2 of us. It was all delicious, especially the grilled spring onion potatoes and Sautéed green beans. One of the best restaurants we've visited in the Basque country.

Based on the reviews I was expecting to be blown away. It was fine. The dish I ordered was a bit underwhelming. I think this restaurant focuses the recipe around a signature vegetable, but it wasn’t very complex. I also find it frustrating when protein isn’t always added to the meal. The waitstaff is very friendly and hospitable.

Orburu is only open for four days a week. There's Eneko the owner whoe's the chef and his partner. Eneko has worked at a number of top vegetarian/ vegan restaurants in the U.K. the food was varied, intresting and a great taste sensation. Wine selection wasn't huge but was good. One not to miss

The owners of the orburu Taberna are absolutely friendly and give advices on the menu. It was possible to get smaller plates, so you can taste more, that was fantastic. The food was great fulfilling.

Got goosebumps when I ate there! For me the best food experience during my two weeks vacation in basque country. Also the staff was very nice, even when I'm not sure how good they understood English. They also had an English menu and a detailed list about allergens so it was easy to find out, which dishes were vegan. Highly recommended!

In beautiful San Sebastian in the Basque Region of Spain is this must-try vegetarian gem. Down a few steps in a beautiful stone and wood space in the heart of San Sebastian. Staff was wonderful and friendly, they have English menus upon request. Seasonal veg used in all of the dishes. We started with mixed olives and beer. And then we each had a smooth and creamy beetroot and old sheep's cheese croqueta. I had a fantastic tomato and peach salad with cucumber and avocado gazpacho and my husband had the roasted carrots, baba ganush, breadcrumb, pickled fennel and feta cheese dish. We both loved our dishes, the service, the space...it was fantastic. Can't miss this one, you guys! Vegetarian or vegan-they have a beautiful menu that you must try!

Best meal we’ve had in San Sebastián. Excellent customer service, even the chef came from the kitchen to explain the menu as the waiter didn’t speak English. Both guys were extremely friendly and asked several times if everything was okay. The food itself was excellent - full of flavour and nicely presented. Chocolate cake with banana sorbet and peanut butter was to die for!

Certamente o restaurante vegetariano que mais gostei em Espanha, e provavelmente na Península Ibérica. Para repetir, espero que brevemente.

We arrived without a reservation for lunch (I can’t imagine what it is like in high season) but we were able to sit at the bar. They brought over olives which were amazing. Again no drinks menu but they have quite a wine selection. I don’t drink wine but they had kombucha and I ordered the rhubarb kombucha. There were a few vegan items or items which could be made vegan. I ordered the roasted carrots in baba ganoush. My partner had the cauliflower in betroot. They were both nice. If my language skills were better I might have asked if we could share the plates like a tapas. For dessert we had the chocolate tart, with praline and pear sorbet. This was delicious. The two people were lovely. I really liked the bar/restaurant.

Era mi primera vez, pero no será la última. Tiene un menú no muy extenso, con opciones veganas, pero la calidad de sus platos es muy buena. Trabajan con dos caseríos de la zona, de ahí la calidad y el cambio que puede haber en la carta.

La tarta de chocolate, vegana, un toque maravilloso.
El camarero muy amable y simpático merece un aplauso a parte porque da un toque de cercanía al restaurante.
