Make sure to specify without egg! - Edit
We were happy to find a vegan option at Kansai Airport. They just advertise it as veggie/vegetarian. Our bad: we just ordered it “vegan” without specifying: no egg. Major bummer. One burger got like an egg patty which you can easily remove, if not grossed out by contamination.
Read moreThe onigiri burger with tofu tasted great. A little floppy/messy to eat. Would get it again, just hopefully without the egg.

Tofu seaweed sandwich! - Edit
Not bad for airport fast food! Tofu, rice and lettuce wrapped in seaweed! The coffee place around the corner offers a choice of soy milk or almond milk with your coffee…

Decent fusion onigiri/burger - Edit
Happy to find a vegan option at KIX!
Read moreHad the vegan "tuna" and atsuage burger. Was OK, two thick slices of atsuage tofu in between, and some sauce that didn't really taste like tuna, but was pretty tasty nonetheless.
Pros: Vegan option at KIX, Vegan tuna and Atsuage tofu

Vegan tofu onigiri 🍙 🌱 - Edit
They changed the menu and there is a new vegan option 🍙🌱 My partner and I were very hungry before the flight and there was a only shio (salt) onigiri and chips at the convenience stores so we were very happy 😂 It was amazing! We’ll definitely come back!!

The vegan airport essential - Edit
If you’re in the airport and hungry, this is your best bet as a vegan.
Read moreGet the veggie option but tell them no pork & no egg and that you’re vegan.
There might be some cross contamination so as long as you don’t mind that, this is your best bet as I couldn’t find anything else in the airport to eat!
It’s pretty tasty for what it is and you can add sauces if you really want 🤣
There’s staff are nice and service is quick for a place so busy
Pros: Tasty, A vegan option , Quick service

Small portion, good taste. - Edit
Had the vegan tofu one, which, judging from the previous reviews, was only added recently. I emphasised that I want it vegan and without egg, but it sounded as if it comes without egg by default.
Read moreThe portion could have been bigger, indeed, but the taste was alright. I liked the sauce.

AF Option - Edit
There is a sole option for vegetarians and it’s also AF. Taste quite safe without sauces. Egg, tofu, rice and seaweed.

An option - Edit
Only vegan option I could find and well priced. Make sure you specify vegan so they take the egg and pork out. Potentially contamination but better than nothing.

Not an entirely vegan option - Edit
The vegetarian option has egg and you can ask for no egg. Luckily they warned me and told me it’s not totally vegan as it’s cooked in the same oil as the other meats

Great - Edit
We ate at this only place we found to eat some vegetarian/vegan food.
Read moreI took one onigiri burger without the spam and the omelet. It was really good. You can add some sauce inside and add a drink to make a set. Staff was understanding when we asked to take off the animal products. No space to eat there but you can go straight to gate 19 where there are some tables and chairs.
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: No space to eat near the shop , Only one choice for veg people

One of few vegan options in the Osaka airport - Edit
Yummy onigiri with tofu cutlet and lettuce. I got one without egg and meat (vegan) and it’s kind of simple but tasty. The tofu is fried and seasoned; not totally plain.
Read morePros: Convenient, inside the Osaka airport, One of the only veg options in the Osaka airport
