Very poor experience.

We visited here today for lunch. Firstly their website makes it look a lot better than what it is. Don’t be fooled it’s just a (very) greasy spoon. We had to ask the waitress to clean the mess off of our table which seemed to upset her. The food was so so at best. I had the breakfast and Lin had a bowl of chips and a slice of bread which was listed on the menu as sourdough at 50p. We (eventually) got a slice of the cheapest sliced bread, for £1 even though I had a slice of fried sourdough with my breakfast. The chips arrived (very overcooked) and a promise that the bread was just coming. After about 10 minutes I went up to the waitress and politely said that we were still waiting. Without saying a word she went to the kitchen and returned plonking the bread on the table and walked off. The cafe wasn’t very busy so that can’t be used as an excuse. It’s very sad that staff can’t treat customers with a bit more respect, maybe some staff training is needed. Sadly, we will not be going back so we won’t know if things improve.

Great vegan breakfast options

Clearly marked vegan options on the menu included vegan full breakfast, avocado and tomato on toast, mushrooms on toast. The oat milk latte was excellent. Friendly staff.

Pros: Lots of clearly marked options , Great tasting food and coffee, Fast service even when busy

Cons: Very busy at 10am

Decent vegan breakfast

The vegan options are pretty good, but it’s a shame the staff aren’t that friendly or fully versed in what’s on offer.

Pros: Vegan breakfast, Outside eating available, Dog friendly

Cons: Staff could be more knowledgeable and friendly

Poor choice

Make the breakfasts available on a Sunday!

Pros: Tasty sandwich , Reasonable prices , Nice staff

Cons: Only one vegan option on a sunday, No breakfasts available on a sunday

Lovely cosy cafe

Great cafe with lots of vegan options. All the ones we have tried have been delicious, from their vegan sausage sandwich to yummy cakes! In addition their packaging for takeaway is biodegradable. #Veganuary
