Full mess is full yum

Friendly service, indoor and outdoor seating, and great food - who could ask for more? First time here and the menu had so many tasty sounding choices! Finally opted for the Full Mess with gravy, and I could not have been happier. Really a great breakfast. I will be back!

Pros: Great breakfast , Outdoor seating , Friendly service

Still off the chain

Classic vegan brunch. I used to work at the ANd Cafe that was this place’s precursor and it still hits the spot. Recommend all of the brunch items and if you drink, bloody Mary’s

Tasty breakfast and lunch in Foster!

Our second time coming to Off the Griddle. Great vibe. Great music. Tasty food and nice variety. Public service All advertise that all items are vegan however they will make items with dairy and eggs if requested. Had the tasty brunch wrap with fries and a side of coleslaw. Husband had chorizo burrito. Always a good place for tasty food.

Pros: Tasty food, Vibes/Building/Music

Best breakfast/bunch spot

Definitely one of the best vegan breakfast/brunch spots in Portland now. Menu has much more than your typical basics. I love the hash and the full mess, and the meatloaf is also great. Good lunch options too. Cool diner vibes with outdoor seating and great staff.

Pros: All vegan with optional dairy/egg add on, Free coffee refills, Great prices

Cons: None

Really really good breakfast

We ordered the Goddess Bowl and the Blue Plate. Both were great but the Goddess Bowl was the winner. The menu is default vegan but eggs/dairy can be added (bummer). We ate outside on a beautiful sunny day. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Definitely recommended!

Yum yum yum!

Wonderful breakfast and lunch options. I especially liked the chicken and sausage (made in house). Cute vibe and excellent service. Also love that everything defaults to vegan.

Incredibly fast service, pretty good food

I always like it when a place makes their own meats so they get a star just for that. Went for brunch and was satisfied. It felt like real food, not too greasy or anything like that. Food you feel good about eat. I wasn’t blown away by the flavour or anything, but a solid brunch option. No real complaints. Service was extremely fast especially considering it was a busy brunch time.

Vegan chicken and waffles

Had the vegan chicken and waffles…
Wasn’t bad. Hash browns weren’t bad either.

Definitely a solid breakfast/brunch option.

My partner and I stopped by for a late brunch and I have to say I was pretty pleased! The portions are HUGE so be prepared to pack some home or split it with someone if leftovers are not your thing. They have an assortment of classics and some very inventive stuffed waffles (savory and sweet). The only two let downs for me was the tempeh bacon that tasted like yucca and the bland kombucha. The server seemed to be guiding me towards the other flavor but I didn’t listen, so that’s on me.

Pros: Vegan forward menu with huge portions, Super friendly staff and very clean restaurant , Great biscuits and gravy.

Cons: Tempeh bacon, Ginger kombucha

Delicious Breakfast/Brunch spot

I've been here several times with my omnivore friends and they've LOVED it. It's usually busy especially around 11am but I got lucky and showed up around 9 am and got a table right away. The Mac and cheese is mine and my partners favorite! The waffles are so filling, the tofu scramble is well seasoned and herby, and the tempeh bacon is my hands-down favorite way to eat tempeh!

Pros: Clearly labeled menu, Kind staff, Cute spot

Cons: Can get busy so plan accordingly

Very good

Consistently good. It does get a little busy at brunchtime and on weekends. Recommended for a quick dine-in lunch on a weekday.

Hit the spot

Came into town and needed breakfast. Found this great restaurant that’s both vegan and vegetarian. I wanted basically a little or everything so that’s exactly what I got. Food was really good, sat on the patio since the weather was nice and enjoyed a vegan Bloody Mary!

Breakfast burrito, huge and yum!!

We both had the breakfast burrito. It’s filled with tofu scramble, hash browns and sausage. The tortilla is organic which we really appreciate. Every component is delish, it’s huge and very filling, a home run all around! We would have preferred that the sides be more breakfast oriented. They were fries, slaw or salad. We opted for slaw and fries. The fries were great, crispy and hot, the slaw wasn’t the best we’ve had. My husband opted for oat milk for his coffee which is his fav.

Pros: Fast service , Great food, Nice staff

Cons: Breakfast sides weren’t breakfast items , Great breakfast sides would be fruit, toast or ?

Good food, understaffed

We had to wait for a while to be seated even on a Monday around brunch time. Only two waitresses were working and they were doing their best. Waffles, brisket hash, biscuits and gravy and a Crunchwrap. All good.

Pros: Food was 8 out of 10, Atmosphere was nice, Price was decent

Cons: A bit of a wait

Always a Favorite

We have been here several times while visiting Portland and will definitely do so again! Food is always delicious. It is usually a challenge to find vegan breakfast options, but this fully vegan spot (egg option) is a real winner. Our party had biscuits and gravy topped with braised kale and tofu, full mess, and mushroom spinach stuffed waffle. All excellent! Staff is always a pleasure.

Pros: Full vegan, Excellent breakfast choices, Generous portions

Simply Divine

My partner and I were traveling from out-of-state, and after a long day of traveling, this place was exactly what we needed. Their drinks were super yummy and the food so delicious. I ordered the chick’n and waffles with gravy and a tofu scramble, and it was simply divine. After a day of munching on crackers and chugging coffee, this place was an oasis. I wouldn’t be surprised if we go here again during our short stay in Portland.

Pros: Default vegan menu (with non-veg options), Outdoor seating, Really yummy food

Cons: On the pricy side

Amazing waffles!!

I ordered the berries and cream waffle and the blue plate. The berries and cream waffle was amazing and the blue plate was alright, wasn’t a fan of the OTG sausage but I enjoyed everything else.

Vegan Breakfast

What a nice change of things....Vegan menu by default and to make it non-vegan, you have to ask.
