Lovely experience, food with soul - Edit
I visited this place a couple of months ago. I asked for the vegan francesinha. It consisted in layers of vegetables, no fake meats, and I really enjoyed the fact that the chef is just letting veggies shine. The bread was dark, thin and flavorful - this is clearly not an attempt to recreate a traditional francesinha. It's a different approach, innovative and I like the experimental character of what they are doing. The sauce was beautiful. Vegan cheese was nice. When I was finished I only wished there was more of it.

Disappointing - Edit
I ordered the vegan francezinha and I was disappointed. The true fancezinha has bread, a variety of meat, cheese and a fried egg on top of it and it is usually served with french fries. This one had 2 very small pieces of dark bread and vegan cheese (ok I accept it because their are trying something new with the dark bread and it kinda works) but it has no meat or egg substitutes, instead they have a very thin slice of tomatoe, cucumber, mushroom and bell pepe. If I was the cheff I would forget about the vegetables and I would had a very thin slice of tofu, seitan and a thin slice of beyond sausache, vegan ham. To replace the egg I would had something like vegan mozzarela.

Pros: Ambience, Staff, Location
Cons: Lack of innovation for the only vegan option, Too expensive

Delicious food and nice ambiance - Edit
Very cute place, super friendly staff, nice background music, and delicious food.
Read moreThe cheese sticks were really good. The francesinha was very tasty. They even modified it for me since I don’t eat mushrooms or eggplant, which were the main ingredients.

Lovely francesinha - Edit
We had a great vegan francesinha here - it was particularly good because it didn't have fake meat in it and instead had lovely, well flavoured veggies. Having tried another vegan francesinha whilst in Portugal, this one was far, far better. The service was great and so was the Sangria! Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely lunch - Edit
Their winter vegan option, bicolor sweet potato gnocchi with mushrooms in a cream sauce was very good. It wasn't a huge portion so there is room for the vegan chocolate mousse, but we didn't get it because we had to catch a train. My pescatarian boyfriend got the fish option and enjoyed the vegan cheese sticks and sangria. The atmosphere is lovely and the server was extremely nice.

We have been here in Portugal for 3 weeks and this was our BEST meal yet. We ordered the vegan cheese board, Smashed Potatoes with mushroom/lentil/coconut milk, and vegan chocolate mousse. Amazing service, wine, and port as well

Lovely owners, great francesinha - Edit
Owners running the place were wildly friendly, sharing their story of opening the restaurant. They made sure to have a vegan option in every section of the menu. I had the vegan francesinhas, and it was great. Highly recommend!
