Pros: Gute vegetarische Auswahl, Freundliche Bedienung, Leckeres Essen
Cons: Vegane Optionen nicht sofort erkennbar

Vegetarian and Vegan Options in Coimbra! - Edit
En route back to Lisbon from Porto (by train), we decided to make a pit-stop in Coimbra for a bit of sightseeing and picture-taking. After a couple of hours of walking around town, it was time for some refueling before continuing our train ride home. Being plant-based eaters, there were very few options available to us here to begin with; arriving early (before noon) didn't help and narrowed our options down to a local Burger King (which would've been our last option out of desperation, since they do have an Impossible Whopper). After a bit more walking, we stumbled upon Chai Asian Food and from the looks of their storefront menu, it appeared they offered several vegan options! YAY!!! The restaurant was literally just opening their doors when we were reading the window menu. After we inquired from the gentleman opening up, he was kind to show us what would suit our non-dairy/non-animal diets. (It was either this or BK! It was a no-brainer!) We were parched from all the walking, so a couple pints of brew was first in-order. For a starter, I went with some fresh rolls (with came with a sweet/sour dipping sauce). The rolls were super fresh and tasty! For a main, I went with a vegan noodle and dumpling soup (asking him to make it very spicy). The meal was so satisfying with a nice kick of heat. When all was said and done, not only was our lunch cheap, but our overall experience at Chai Asian Food was two-BIG thumbs up...!!! 😄

Cool & Good - Edit

Fanciness: Low
Cleanliness: Moderate
P.S. I mistakenly ordered "traditional tea" that contained animal milk. It was not specified in the menu that it contained milk but I didn't ask in the first place so it's my fault also.
