Buddhist vegetarian buffet just outside the old city in the southeast corner right side of Kamphaeng Din Rd - look for a red and yellow Veg sign. Food is vegan, though some pre-made baked items contain egg - ask. Buffet food is cooked and placed in steamtable so you can see the dishes; no menu. Offers gluten and tofu dishes, baked goods and cookies, sandwiches, fresh spring rolls. Also sells dry and fresh products, such as soya granulate, tofu etc. Owner speaks some English. Good clean fresh food - Edit
Very clean, nice friendly owner, fresh and not overly cooked veg option buffet. Had a couple of delicious home made gluten dishes (and I'm usually not a big fan of mock meats). This place is vegan not vegetarian.

Great soup spot! - Edit
This is a point-and-pick type restaurant that also has vegan Thai noodle soup. I used to love the Thai street soup, but obviously as a vegan those days are over. This is a place where I can satisfy the need for hot, spicy, and flavorful noodle soup!

Very cold food - Edit
We got food from the buffet and everything was cold, like it just had been taken out of the fridge and not been heated, it didn't taste good, maybe if it was hot it would have been okay.

Tasty food, very affordable - Edit
The food here is delicious - I have stopped here multiple times to both eat in and takeaway and every time I have thoroughly enjoyed my food. Staff are friendly, and the prices are very inexpensive, making it a perfect food location for budget backpackers. They also sell packs of the mushroom meat and other mock meats to take away and cook yourself, great if you live in Chiang Mai or are staying in accommodation with a kitchen!

Nice, cozy place - Edit
You can get a full plate with rice and buffet stuff for 40 Baht which is quite good. The food was tasty but cold (I was there a bit late) which I didn't mind. The owner was very nice too. Will come back again.

Local cheap and good food! - Edit
So happy to find a local place to eat. We went there twice and it was each time really good...and cheap!!! Only ate for 70B for 2 people at the buffet. It's the cheapest buffet we went to in Thailand.

Delicious, nutritious and inexpensive - Edit
We just discovered Nuson a couple of days ago, and now it's our go-to for a late morning breakfast that keeps us full and satisfied for hours. The lovely owner cooks a spread of different vegan dishes every morning (she opens at 7:00), and it's a great variety of tastes, vegetables and textures. She gives you a heap of whole-grain rice, and you get to choose the three dishes you want with it. She charges very little for her food, so if you're hungry, load up on more. Yesterday we both ate for 65 baht (about US $2.11), and today we ate a lot more and spent 100 baht (about $3.25).
Read moreThere's also a nice variety of homemade snacks you can buy for munching later in the day. I liked the seaweed snack and the sesame-protein snacks. I'll keep trying more until I've tried them all.
Pros: Delicious, inexpensive and nutritious., Delightful proprietor; she speaks some English, Neighborhood place.
Cons: Can't think of any. Maybe just, "no salads."

great value, hom-ey cuisine - Edit
For 40 baht I got some delicious noodle soup with a lot of flavor. It was a nice light lunch and feel good food. I will say they use a lot of soy fake meat subs so if that’s not your jam you may not enjoy the selection but for me it was good and I’d definitely go back! It’s also really nice to have something more affordable in the vegan arena here in CM.

good Thai breakfast or early lunch option - Edit
Nice curries and delicious water spinach. Three options with brown rice for 50 baht. Kao Soi was already out when we came there after 12pm, so go early. Lovely stuff!

traditional Thai cafe with cheap vegan food - Edit
Nuson Restaurant is a typical Thai restaurant so hot food is placed in an un-heated bain marie so its either hot, warm or cool when you get to eat it ... I has a sampler dish of 4 dishes plus rice ... the food was nice and spicey and the quantity and quality of the food was very good ... friendly staff with little English but as you can point to what you want the language is not a problem ... cool clean restaurant offering cheap vegan food

Very basic and you chose from pre made options but for 30 baht you get 2 curries with rice. Really really worth it. They also have a section of items for sale. Can't go wrong for a no frills meal.

Cheap Simple Food - Edit
Not difficult to find at all, coming on to the moat from Chang Khlan road take the very first left on the corner and keep going down and you will see it on the right hand side.
Read moreDishes are simple and cheap, usual Thai buffet fare and some decent snacks such as fresh spring rolls and other packaged things.
If you are vegan, don't take any of the cloudy looking drinks (milky) as they are made with cow's milk not soy milk, I could see this from the ingredients which are only in Thai. Apart from this, everything else should be vegan.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Not 100% vegan

Value - Edit
Simple & nourishing, can't beat the value. Cost 35B for a plate of rice with three choices from the buffet. I tried pumpkin, greens & some type of mock meat which wasn't terribly realistic (a good thing IMO).
