I really enjoyed my meal here. - Edit
This is a very conveniently located restaurant, near the old city square. Just a couple of blocks from The Grand Hotel. There is a menu on the wall over the hot bar, but most of the food is served cafeteria style, out of warming trays. I got the lasagna, which came with a mixed green and vegetable salad. I also got the crispy sushi roll. The lasagna and the sushi were very good. I also got a couple of jalapeño poppers. They were good, but if there was any spice to them, I didn’t notice (welcome to Scandinavia). I got a big slab of carrot cake. The cake portion of the carrot cake was excellent. The icing, sadly, was the typical bland and largely flavorless white icing that vegan places often put on carrot cake. Note to everyone: Carrot cake is frosted with CREAM CHEESE icing. The cake was 9/10. The icing was 4/10. I digress.😄

My Favorite Restaurant in Oslo - Edit
This is my favorite restaurant in Oslo—I went there several times during my stay in the city. It has a pleasant and cozy atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. There are plenty of options for sweets, savory dishes, and drinks. I highly recommend it!

Meh - Edit
There aren't many all-vegan places in Oslo so this was nice to have, but the food was lukewarm and kind of mediocre. Staff seemed very unenthusiastic.
Read moreI had the lasagna which was okay, came with salads, but it cost extra to choose my own salads. Also tried the "corn dog" but found it was stuffed with lentils instead of a hot dog, which was... a bit disappointing? For dessert I had the chocolate cake, it looked pretty but was dry and not so good.

Lovely restaurant - Edit
My first visit to Oslo and I was a bit disappointed with the vegan options in the restaurants. Until I found this place. The food was really tasty and the portions were big.

Special event review - Edit
We had a catered dinner here with a tour group. Our main was a special, but the rest is from their normal menu. Everything was excellent, I can't even pick a favorite!

All vegan good food - Edit
It's great that it's all vegan and the food is tasty. The food options are not the most exciting.

Comforting yummy healthy big portions - Edit
I had a Shepard’s pie and fried oyster mushrooms which were absolutely perfect.

Nice - Edit
The staff are nice. I asked for onion and garlic free, and she pretty much invented a new dish of the very few things that are in face free of onions and garlic. It would be good, though, if they could return your money when they don’t have the tea you ordered. The apple pie is nice.

Safe option - Edit
One of a few completely vegan places in Oslo. Very safe and convenient. Good food, but a bit pricey. You get big portions.

Great food - Edit
I went there twice in a row. First time I had the rainbow salad (fantastic) and an apple cake (okay), second time the Xmas roast (delicious but just a tiny slice of roast and lots of salad). Nice atmosphere, staff was a bit reserved. Also, definitely on the pricier side.

Wholesome food, interesting concept. - Edit
Nordvegan is “buffet style” in the sense that the food items are on display, like a fancy cafeteria. You order at the counter and a staff member prepares your plate. The main dishes we tried were tasty and wholesome. I can imagine eating here often if I lived in Oslo. The atmosphere is quite comfortable as well. If I had more time, I’d be interested to flip through their cookbook, which seemed to be available for purchase.

Alright! - Edit
It was an alright buffet-style food. The staff was super super nice and helpful, but unfortunately the food itself was a bit bland, especially the main dishes. Deep-fried sides were really great, but unfortunately not the healthiest ofc. It was cool to feel that the main dishes and salads are filled with lots of different grains and veggies, but to me they lacked spices and would definitely taste better if warmer.

Lovely vegan restaurant in Oslo - Edit
Vegan only restaurant with good range of savoury and sweet options. Had the lasagne which came with nice some salad. All really tasty. Took away a slice of apple pie and a couple of truffles for later. Both lovely

Nice options for lunch and dinner - Edit
Fully vegan place with lots of options for lunch and dinner and desserts. I had the lasagne with a side of tofu and a Chai latte with Oatly milk and Berry Cheesecake. Relaxed atmosphere, lots of other people sitting solo so didn’t feel weird.

Chill Casual Atmosphere - Edit
This place was super calm and chill, a good place to unwind with some freshly made food. We had the veg curry and sweet and sour "meatballs", both were delicious.

Good lunch for vegan's in the city! - Edit
We went for a late lunch when we arrived at Oslo and the food was heart-warming in the middle of the cold. It's also cozy and warm - we went during winter, so it was really nice inside.
Read moreWe went for a Crispy Fried Gyoza as entry, and I tried the Vegan Lasagna that was really delicious! My boyfriend tried the Japanese Curry and it was ok, we both preferred the lasagna. As dessert, we asked for a Carrot Cake and it was also really good!
It's a bit expensive, specially as a tourist, but we really wanted some warm and nutritious food, and we had it here. I recommend! :)

Dishes are mostly Asian “inspired”, not a buffet as most people would think. You’ll find soup, some warm meals with rice, some salads, wraps, burguers, sushi, desserts and hot and fresh drinks.

Cosy and all vegan but not worth the price. - Edit
The fact its canteen style here cheapens the appearance of this place, the food looks like it's been sitting out a while. Most of the seats are next to the line for ordering the food and collection and payment, so it was hard to have a conversation over it all. We had the "Indian" curry and enchilada, "tiramisu" and cake, and no drinks and it was over £50 which just felt way too much for this sort of place, even for Norway! Curry was a cosy hearty dish in the rainy weather but neither dish had any spice to it. Tiramisu was just some cream and cocoa powder on top of biscoff biscuits 😭

Loved it - Edit
When entering the restaurant, it looks like you’re lining up for a buffet. But in fact, the staff uses the "buffet" to assemble your plate after you order a dish.
Read moreI ordered the summer roll and the enchilada (monthly special). The summer roll was nothing special, but the accompanying sauce was very good. The enchilada had a great taste and was perfectly seasoned. Portion was also very good.
