A fancy restaurant with a very positive attitude - Edit
Niébé is a place you can go with many of your friends, as the place serves brazilian food, in both a traditional way (with meat), or veganized (litteraly, the entire menu is available in a vegan version). As vegan food is carefully prepared separately, staff is paying attention to every detail!
Read moreNiebé is a fancy restaurant, and their cuisine is tasty, and takes you in a peaceful atmosphere. As I went several times for both lunch and dinner times, I suggest the week end evenings for a deep experience, with live music and taylor-made cocktails. Niébé is a cuisine from mix cultures, and proudly serves various options, for curious minds.
My two favourite things at Niebé? The chef will see every customer no matter when you go, and see if yuo appreciated the dishes. The last one is their cocount dessert "Manjar", simply delightful!
Pros: Chef is coming to every table, Food is fancy, tasty, and original, A great option in this part of the city
Cons: You must book a table for evenings and week ends

Brazilian Goodness - Edit
Great vegan options as they have a separate vegan menu. I go regularly, either alone, or with non-vegans. The portion size are good and you won’t leave the place hungry. They also have a good drink and wine menu. They also have live music on certain nights - great for date-night.

Nice place and didn't find the food so tasty - Edit
We went there with my boyfriend who's not vegan and we did appreciate the kindness of the waiters and the lovely room but we didn't find the food amazing. Some taste was missing for us, not salty or spicy enough? So we were a bit disappointed. But I don't know how brezilian food is supposed to taste traditionally, maybe it's quite normal. Anyway, good thing that the whole menu is available in vegan version, that's the best part of it.

Blown away! - Edit
My friend and I went here for dinner on our last day in Paris, and we were absolutely not dissapointed. The place had a lovely athmosphere, and the staff was really nice and service-minded. I really reccomend going there if you have meat eating friends aswell. This place offers a large vegan selection, including appetizers, starters, main courses and dessert. They also had really good cocktails. Definetly something for everybody!

Excellent restaurant for all! - Edit
I'd give this place 5 stars if I could. I was lucky enough to be staying in Montparnasse on a recent daytrip to Paris, and ended up going to Niebe for lunch (we found it on HappyCow) and then for dinner on the same day (booked by friends), meaning we got to try multiple dishes.
Read moreI had the vegan fejioada first time around, which was an absolute treat. Warm, hearty, perfectly seasoned and balanced. I followed this with the passionfruit mousse (maracuja) which is worth a trip on its own!
The restaurant has a warm, relaxed atmosphere, and the acoustics meant that it wasn't noisy even at dinner, when it got fairly busy. Friendly and patient staff (I had to ask what quite a lot of the menu items were) made sure we were well looked after, too. My friends said that the meat dishes they had were excellent, too.
Mains were 15-20 euros, desserts 7-9.
Pros: Delicious foods (inc. desserts!), Warm, friendly atmosphere, Non-vegan options were equally good (mains)
Cons: Not good if you only eat in veg/vegan places

Nota 10!

So delicious! - Edit
This restaurant just opened and it's great! (Would have given it maximum stars, but Happy Cow wont let me as it serves meat.)
Read moreI found the place super warm and welcoming, with wooden floor and tables, modern colorful decor, nice lighting (yes lighting matters)...
Nearly half the menu is vegan, and clearly marked as such. The idea I think is that most non vegan dishes have a vegan counterpart, usually made with seitan or tofu. Don't forget to say you want the vegan option, because they often have the same name.
I've now been twice and everything I've tried was exciting and flavourful. I'm not familiar with Brazillian cuisine, and found it both subtle and comforting. Portions are perfect :)
I especially loved the 'mise en bouche' (assorted fritters starter), the 'Feijoada' (lovely smoky main), and the 'Manjar' (coconut dessert).
I definitely recomend this place! I'd happily go back again and again to try all the dishes.

Lovely meal in Paris - Edit
This restaurant has a separate vegan menu - starters, mains, & sweets.
Read moreThey are creative and different options to anywhere else we have ever been. We both couldn't resist a main of sliced smoked Tofu sausage, in a black bean stew, served with rice, toasted & crumbed banana pieces, & fresh orange slices. An unusual but really tasty medley!
For pud we shared a very French, and especially delicious, coconut blancmange with caramel-style prunes & coulis. Not always my ideal pud, this blancmange was great too. I'm so glad we ordered it!
The staff were clearly working hard, but we didn't feel rushed at all despite how busy they were. It felt a perfectly romantic night out in Paris - lovely ambience in the restaurant. I'm so glad we went!
One more note - in advance I asked about gluten free options in case a friend with coeliacs joined us. The friend didn't - but the restaurant replied so friendly confirming they could and I suspect if she had joined it would have been a really good meal for her special diet req too! Thanks team Niebe! If I am in Paris again I will certainly be back :)
Pros: friendly staff, well marked vegan options, good portion size for the price

Refined, delicious meal, warm and airy decor - Edit
Lunch at Niébé was so far my best vegan meal in Paris. Delicate flavors, creative, nice presentation. I shared the mise en bouche (6 different size-bite pieces) and the Bobo de légumes with my friend, and we tried both desserts - the avocado cream and the coconut blanc-mangé were fantastic. Friendly service, tasteful decor, and a nice view on a little courtyard when seated at the back. Great spot for both lunch and dinner.
