Nice junk food and great atmosphere - Edit
The food here was good. We had a burger, the fried chicken, the chilli cheese fries and some coleslaw and pickles. We thought that the chicken could be a little juicer. The chilli fries were just hot, maybe they could use some spices. The Burger was good.
Read moreThe fries were really really good.
The atmosphere is great, as it is in a cool bar.

Kwality fried chicken - Edit
Really enjoyed the ‘chicken’, the dips and frickles. Was a little bit toooo oily, as if it hadn’t been drained enough. Looking forward to see what they’ll add in future!

Fast service and great location - Edit
I like the online service system and the food I ordered came very quickly, the staff were very friendly too. I had a quesadilla, the vegan chicken was dry and seemed more like kebab meat, the vegan cheese wasn’t melted and the outside want very golden BUT the combination of all the flavours was great so it was was still a really enjoyable meal. Could have done with a bit more of a fry in some vegan butter until the cheese was melted and maybe even used a different / more juicy / chicken-like fake meat to make it even better!!

Had hoped for better - Edit
Popped into Nice N Sleazy for a quick bite to eat before heading to a gig. It's a bit of a dive bar but in a good way! Pop up vegan Mexican kitchen sounded promising but didn't really deliver. Jackfruit tacos underwhelming. Empanadas deep fried & very greasy. Spiced fries good. Wouldn't particularly recommend.

Best dive bar in Glasgow - Edit
I've been going to sleazys since it opened in the 90s. It's a great bar if you like a dive. The staff are generally friendly and always have been. Gigs downstairs in a small venue that's just great.

Disappointing - Edit
I had a very expensive and bland burger from here, I was pretty gutted! My friends struggled to finish their food because they didn't really like it either. It took a long time to come considering how simple the food was. The only winner I think was the friend who got the mac and cheese, it was a pretty small serving though. Great bar though, so cool to have vegan food where there's live music and a cool place to hang out. Just wish the food was nicer!

Impressive - Edit
Great food for a kitchen attached to a music venue, would be worthy of having its own restaurant. The katsu curry was delicious.

Kitchen/menu changes a lot - Edit
Vegan options. Used to have really good burgers which I miss. Kitchen was changing a lot for a while. Not sure if they have settled on Koko's Japanese Kitchen or if it is also temporary. Once we went on a Sunday only to find that they were not serving food because they had had an event the night before. Would have been good to know before showing up. Kind of a dive bar that does live events.

Great japanese lunch - Edit
The people in the kitchen at Nice N Sleazy seem to change every now an then, because there was definitely not Freddy and Hicks (like it is listed on Happycow) but Koko's Japanese Kitchen here when we visited for lunch. There were a lot of great vegan options and at 5 pounds for a small but filling portion of freshly prepared food this was a bargain. The celeriac katsu was particularly nice.

Great choices of vegan options - Edit
As well as vegan chocolate torte and churros as pudding options, the menu has burritos, tacos, sides, and burrito bowls with options to have seitan or chipotle cauliflower, as well as vegan nacho cheese. I opted for a burrito bowl over a wrap for a change and loved it; often when I order a burrito only the strongest flavour seems to what I can taste, with a bowl you can fork around your dish and see all the ingredients and sauces.
Read moreThey also have vegan milkshakes. Service seemed quite quick, and the menu said they do table service until 6pm. I'm glad they had a table free on a Saturday night as I looked for somewhere a to have dinner on Sauchiehall Street, I didn't know they'd changed their menu a bit since I'd last been there for food (their all day Breakfast menu looks to be the same as the one that had been on during my last visit). Vegan nacho cheese!!!
Pros: Great options, Good space between tables, Two decent vegan dessert options
