Great ramen - Edit
The restaurant is small, with seating for maybe 10 or 12 people. The server was super friendly and helpful. They have a kiosk where you can place your order, or they have physical menus. We ordered the Kim chi ramen and the mushroom adobe. Both dishes were really good. Sadly, I was too full to try dessert, banana rolls with vegan Ube ice cream. Next time! They also have a little “market” in a side room where they sell snacks, vegan ice cream, vegan fish sauce, and frozen food items. We will definitely eat there again.

Decent! I am a bit surprised at how much people are hyping up this place in their reviews. We tried the pork belly bao buns, beef banh mi, and black garlic ramen. All were enjoyable but don’t hold a candle to versions we’ve tried in other large cities in North America and Europe. They do have a fast food/casual vibe so maybe my expectations were too high. Everything came out in plastic containers (despite us requesting that we’d be eating in) and is retrieved by an employee from a conveyer belt. They seem to also share the facility with a nonvegan restaurant.

Excellent vegan Asian food - Edit
I have been to several vegan Asian restaurants in Calgary, but Nan’s comes out on top. They have a wide selection of noodle dishes, banh mi, and appetizers. I thoroughly enjoyed the black garlic ramen and the crispy brussels sprouts. The portion sizes are very generous. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and attentive.

Small restaurant that appears to do a brisk takeout business but has indoor seating too. Super welcoming front staff. Ordered the « faux pork belly ». Bao buns to start (tasty), followed by the Dan Dan Noodles (a bit bland) and then Laksa and Miso Ramen Soups - both big portions and only $16 CDN! Located only 15 min from the airport and worth the trip.

Have been here a few times and have always gotten something different & everything is delicious. On my first visit I got two noodle dishes (one Laksa and one special cold sesame noodle). There is so much more that I want to order! Can’t wait to return.

It was really good so many mushrooms.

Followed up another day with the Vietnamese sub with spicy sauce and the clucker (vegans don’t eat chicken).
On visit, oh I don’t know, maybe fifteen, I tried the vegan butter clucker (again vegans don’t eat chicken, nor butter for that matter). Fantastic!!!
Looks like a home run for the taste buds every time.

Read moreThe miso ramen was amazing (the added "pork belly" was fantastic), other people in my party tried the laksa and a rice special they had that day with coconut rice and mushrooms. Everyone loved everything.
We can't wait to come back.

Read moreThe spring rolls were ok. They had a nice crunch on the outside but they were kind of mushy on the inside. The sauce that they came with was tasty.
The drumsticks were delicious and had excellent texture, but they cost $8 for only three of them.
The pad Thai was okay. Not super flavourful, and very little tofu in there, but overall it was nice and fresh tasting.
The black garlic ramen was unpalatable. We got it with beef slices, which tasted like gelatin and turned us off. The ramen broth itself tasted burnt, not sure if that was due to the black garlic. The ramen noodles themselves were undercooked and chewy, and some were still stuck together.
Pros: Great drumsticks, though pricy. , Lots of vegan options
Cons: Ramen noodles undercooked, Not the highest quality

Again - a big thanks to Happy Cow for this 5-star recommendation. It's been ages since I've had laksa (before becoming vegan). This small eat-in/take-out restaurant was magic! The laksa was just the right kick of spicy with fresh veggies and plant-protein based seafood. The taste was awesome and complex with all the spices and flavors - there was so much broth and noodles and toppings that I couldn't finish the entire bowl. We also ordered the mushroom adobo. It was delicious, although not quite the filipino adobo we were hoping for. came with 2 lumpia (fried veggie rolls) and rice. It was well prepared and the lumpia were nice and crispy. We also bought cherry danish for dessert from a bakery they use, but forgot to take a picture of it before we ate it!😄

Had the Laksa with chick’un and rice noodles. It was amazing! Just the right amount of spice and so tasty. We also had the special Pancit Bihon and the flavours were also amazing. Best food I’ve had after travelling through Calgary many times!
