Disappointed…

well, where to start... I'm a bit disappointed, unfortunately... I waited more than 40' for a very very very light plate (and fortunately I had asked for two extra pieces of bread... well two 0.5cm wide slices... anyway).

The food was okay but nothing more. Fortunately the place is nice and the cappuccino decaf and bananabread are delicious... Expensive for what it is... too bad!

Ubud has much better places to have lunch. Sorry!

Pros: Decaff cappuccino

Cons: waiting time !!!!, quality-price-quantity ratio

Okay food

A couple of vegan options. The avocado toast was lacking flavour. Coffee was not good. Cute interior and the staff were lovely.

Addictive

My husband and I are vegan and are always looking for good places...well, this place was amazing! Everything from the avocado and mushroom toast to the hummus toast to the acai bowl was delicious. We went back 3-4 times it was so good! Highly recommend!

Good breakfast and lunch spot!

We went there several times, for lunch and breakfast. They have a lot of vegan and also glutenfree items! Even vegan croissants and a vegan glutenfree donut are available.
The only thing i was missing is some vegan protein (tofu or the pea protein for smoothies, which was not available).

Updated from previous review on 2023-05-19

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Many glutenfree options, Very cute cat that lives in the cafe

Cons: No vegan protein (tofu) for breakfast

Cool spot for a break during Ubud explorations

Tried the vegetarian pancakes, as well as the cacao with coconut milk. Both delicious. Also vegan options for croissants & more.

My go to café whilst in ubud

Great vegan donut, croissant, smoothie, green juice. The aubergine (eggplant) toastie is real nice too. The smoothie bowl was fresh and a colourful feast. Four stars as not fully vegan.

I think there are plenty of better places.

So, the person I was with was very enthusiastic about the food. He loved the nasi campur. Me, I was unhappy because there was a larva (alive….) in my falafel wrap. I know, I should have send it back but there was only service at the counter and I was not in the right mood to start a discussion about it. So, I did not give them the chance to make it better, I understand, that’s my fault. In termsof the atmosphere - there were a lot of people working on laptops, which is cool for them but I personally think it can be a vibekiller. Decided to go with 2 stars, instead of 1, because my friend did like the food.

Pros: Nice nasi campur, Many vegan options

Cons: Living bug in my food, Toilet/bathroom needs a good clean or an update

Good

Very nice coffee and cakes here, friendly staff, and local craft beers available. Their vegan burger is pretty average though, but the sweet potato fries are really good 👍

Delicious burgers and lots of vegan options

We had two delicious meals here (one ordered via grab)! The beyond meat burger is delish and there are lots of vegan options including dessert.

Pros: Viele vegane optionen , Zentrale Lage , Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Bad food, old, small

Each time I come here, I swear I will not return. The food is so small. The portions are tiny. They don't substitute coffee for tea. Upcharge for everything, even substitutions where the item wanted is cheaper. It's a dark cave, like a gray dungeon inside. Lots of hippies sleeping inside. Dirty. The people aren't even friendly like most of the places in ubud. Don't come here the food is bad, the portions are so small and the people are flat.

Great breakfast, good vegan burger

I really like the full vegan breakfast and also the vegan burger is great. I‘m personally not a big fan of the tempe burger, tempe is marinated in a really sweet and really salty soy sauce.
The have great healthy coffee alternatives like ashwaghanda reishi latte, jasmine green tea latte, chai latte. You can swap normal milk with coconut milk free of charge, but they also have soy milk for an extra charge.
Staff is always really friendly. I like going there even though the prices are a but higher.

Inexpensive average tasting food

Menu is not extensive, but enough to choose from. The price is inexpensive and good portion sizes. Had the tempeh burger and fries, included a good size salad. Nothing special, average taste. Worth a visit.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good portions

This is good place for lazy brunch with friends.

Lots of selection for different coffees + variants (ie. Chai, Turmeric Latte, Matcha, etc.)
Default is cow milk, coconut milk has no charge, oat + soy has a surcharge.

Food is tasty, there are vegan options (ie. sub mushrooms instead of eggs).
I got avo toast with mushrooms - the bread is quality. Coffee is nice.

It's not the cheapest place, but this is okay for coming out as a treat during the week.
(I normally make coffee + breakfast at home)

The seating is quite cozy, super clean, plus wifi seems pretty good. Didn't check for any outlets. Service is spot-on.

--

Edit:
I came back for more (full brekkie). This is really good, but also because their mushrooms are SO tasty. It's true that the local avocados are less flavourful/creamy than other types... so it mushrooms balance that out.

Their beans were super... and that rosti is great, though it would be nice if it was a bit crispier.

It IS quite pricey though... ~100K including coffee.
If I was here short-term, then I wouldn't mind coming here more often.
I changed my review from 4-stars to 5, because I complain about the prices yet I still return.

They just make it so cozy...

Full Brekki

The full brekki tasted beautiful. The pie was a bit lacking in taste, that could have been because I scoffed it down when it was still super hot though.

Cosy cafe with amazing food

We went to Namaskara twice and had great food. The cafe is located a bit out of the centre (but not too far), so that it is very quiet and relaxing. Out of the four dishes we had, we can especially recommend the black sticky rice :)

I love them!!

I’m obsessed with this café, I come here a lot to get my morning coffee and smoothie bowl (they have a lot of other options that are vegan/vegetarian as well, I’m just addicted to smoothies) and it’s never packed, the staff remembers me and is very sweet, the vibe is chill and happy and quiet, they have WiFi. I think they are very underrated

Pros: Great smoothie bowls , Love the coffee , Quiet and zen vibe

Smoothie Bowl Perfection

I love coming to Namaskara — it’s so quiet and calming here. I always order a smoothie bowl and sit and read for hours here early in the morning. The staff is so kind and the food tastes so homemade and satisfying. It’s a great place to spend some quiet alone time and relax.

Great little cafe

We had the breakfast and falafel salad. Everything was really tasty and the staff were very friendly. Everything is made fresh so there might be a bit of a wait, although it was worth it as the flavours are delicious. The only downside is that the portion sizes are quite small (I only got 3 falafel in the salad and the smallest piece of bread with the breakfast).

Pros: Tasty dishes , Relaxed space

Cons: Portions could be bigger

yummy food

We had the full breakfast, taste was very good but although it’s the ‚full breakfast‘ we ordered one extra slice of bread, portion was not very big. Unfortunately we had to wait very long for our food.

Pros: Friendly staff , Good taste

Cons: a bit expensive

A lovely place for breakfast

I had a watermelon juice and the Very Berry smoothie bowl with maqui berries, strawberries, blueberries and almond milk. Best smoothie bowl I have had in Bali so far. So fresh and tasteful. Also I really liked the interior and loved that you can refill your water bottle with fresh water there. Just so you know, they are open til 6:00PM indeed, but the last order can be placed at 5:15PM.
