Not impressed

I came here as recommended by Vegan Curacao Events and the fact that it was listed on Happy Cow and have to say don’t know how to review this. I ordered an oat latte which was delicious. When I said that I was vegan and came for breakfast, the pancakes were recommended. Great. I opted for pancake cereals as sounded healthy rather than red and green pancakes which were strawberry and mint. The waitress comes over with a frozen bag of brightly coloured little ‘balls’ and asked what it was and she asked if I wanted them as wanted to make sure they were vegan. She said it was the cereals part in the pancakes . I saw SO many E numbers on the packaging I was like what the heck?! No I said, I did not want them as I don’t eat e numbers snd was surprised this was offered! She said that she was from Holland and was surprised too! I said that I wanted all natural in my pancakes and she offered bananas and blueberries which was great.
I asked to speak to owner but she was not there so conveyed my disappointment and horror that a place offering healthy and even vegan options would offer something like this!
Honestly, never experienced anything like this in Aruba last year « vegan heaven »
Seriously Munchies do better by not serving such crap to customers. Again thank goodness I mentioned being vegan snd server making my pancakes came over to show me what she was going to put in to my pancakes. See my La Boheme review. It is taking careful diligence and asking the right questions to receive a vegan meal and all natural at that! Not impressed.

super cozy place with lots of vegan options

was very impressed with munchies! the staff was super friendly and they told us all about their vegan options. they had plenty of pastries, empanadas, smoothies, and oatmeals to choose from. small portions but it was all delicious. would suggest getting a couple things if you want a full breakfast.

Pros: comfortable , lots of options

Disappointing

Looked better online than it actually is. Vegan menu very limited. Pastries were unavailable. Overpriced. Bao buns tasted odd.

Pros: Vegan options on menu

Cons: Expensive, Limited seats, Limited vegan options on menu

Vegan local pastechies

They have great vegan options and they make vegan pastechies that they also supply to other cafe’s. Therefor spreading their veganism on the island which I love.

Super cosy and trendy breakfast room on Curaçao

I was stunned to discover that the regular and almond croissants are 100%vegan! Besides the croissants we’ve had a delicious matcha latte with coconut milk and a typical local pastechi with a lentil curry filling!

Pros: Multiple vegan options, Cosy atmosphere
