Great food, location and ambiance.

Whilst the price is on the higher end of the scale for meals, the meal did not disappoint. The experience I had was later in the afternoon when the restaurant was not too busy. The staff were knowledgeable of the menu options and you could tell from the flavours and presentation of the dish that the chef took pride in presenting and creating a wonderful dish.
I did not have an entree but I was advised by staff the serving sizes are not big. There was only one dessert option on the day which was sorbet and poached fruit.
This is a venue I will definitely go back to, to try other dishes due to the quality of food, ambiance and friendly service 😊

Pros: Multiple vegan options , A good selection of drinks available, A great location

Cons: Not cheap , Limited dessert options , Average sized serves

Overpriced and not that good

I've eaten here three times now and been disappointed three times.
It's not that the food is terrible, but if you're paying $38 for a main course you expect it to be excellent and this really isn't.
They have a dedicated vegetarian menu, but basically it's the menu minus the meat - so there are no protein sources it, just the veg and noodles. Vegan sauce substitutions are not even close to what's described on the menu.

At my most recent visit there were 4 vegan dishes listed on the vegetarian menu. (1 starter and 3 that could be starter or main).

The starter was tempura mushrooms (vegan option) - listed as coming with wasabi aioli, but this was unexpectedly substituted with sweet chili sauce for the vegan option (you can buy vegan aioli in the supermarket here so it wouldn't have been that hard to have a vegan aioli with it). The mushrooms were very oily as though they'd been cooked at toonlow a temperature when frying. Not terrible, but well below the standard expected for the price.

The main I had was "honey buttered mushroom with ponzu sauce and noodles", which had no butter or honey and lots of oil. The noodles and mushrooms were nicely textured but the whole thing was dripping oil and mainly tasted of soy sauce.

None of the vegan menu options has any included specific protein source (eg beans, tofu, chickpeas) - they were basically the grains and veg from the meat menu, minus the meat/cheese with an adapted sauce. My main would have been improved by the addition of tofu and I chose it because it looked the most filling - I was still hungry after (just like my last visit).

Disappointingly for a fine dining restaurant with a separate vegan menu, there are no vegan desserts listed (some are vegetarian).

The service was also not fine dining calibre - they whisked my main out from undery nose while I was still eating it. Although they were good at keeping the water topped up.

The view is nothing special, we had a view of the waiters station and other tables.

I wish this place lived up to its prices, but it doesn't. I will only go here if I'm dining with omnis that want to go there, because from a vegan point of view it is poor value and overpriced - I'd much rather go to Lotus Thai.

Pros: Good food for omnis and maybe vegetarians

Cons: Expensive and overpriced, Vegan food isn't well adapted, No vegan desserts

Lots of vegan options and possibilities

Very open to adapting menu to vegan choices. Food was well presented and tasty. I had an Asian tofu dish which was very good. Separate vegan/vego menu and the waiter was also very helpful in asking the chef what dishes could be veganised.

Pros: Separate vegan/vego menu , Willingness to adapt non-Vegan items , Beautiful view over harbour

Great vegan fine dining in Launceston

Menu changes seasonally and has a lot of great vegan items clearly labeled. The menu was mushroom heavy when we were there, but we were in the mood for mushrooms and everything was delicious. There are a lot of great options to choose from and their cocktails were lovely as well. The staff was extremely helpful. This was everything we would have expected for the price, and the portions were actually quite large. I'd highly recommend checking this place out for a special evening.

Pros: Lots of delicious, clearly labeled vegan options, Great location, Great cocktails

Cons: Not 100% vegan
