As tourists from the states we felt we had to try savory pies and mash during our trip, so we appreciate that Mother Mash has a couple of vegan options. We tried both pies, the mushroom and vegetable, with dairy free mash and veggie gravy. The pies were alright (granted, we don't have a solid baseline of what a good savory pie is), the mash a bit dry, the gravy had a good flavor. Glad we tried it, but don't feel the need to do so again.

Vegan friendly pie and mash - Edit
This was our favorite meal in London. We tried the mushroom pie, two kinds of mash, mushy peas, and the dessert with ice cream and custard. Custard was so good.!!! We will definitely be returning to this place every time vacation in London.

We're from Australia and didn't expect to be able to have vegan bangers and mash in London, so were really excited to find Mother Mash.
Read moreThe classic mash and sweet potato mash can be made vegan, so we got one of each with the Mushroom pie and sausages and vegan gravy.
The staff member said it was the first day of using new vegan sausages and we were the first to order them.
The food was so good, couldn't fault it. It was simple but comforting and exactly what we were expecting. It seems as though from previous reviews the sausages were "veggie sausages" but the new ones we had tonight were a mock meat and were really good.
Staff were friendly and accommodating even though you could tell how busy they were

Wanted to try a bangers and mash or pie and mash with gravy and this place came up as the best vegan option in London. Gave it a go and it was pretty good. The bangers are fried vegetables rather than a mock meat so if you are into that you will enjoy it.

It was fine, a bit pricey. Had the mushroom and ale which was a special but the normal menu pie is butternut squash which doesn’t go with mash and gravy to me. Honestly prefer a pukka pie.
