This place has a good relaxed atmosphere. It offers fresh and tasty food, but menu has changed and there is less options than in previous comments and its not well balanced (its hard to get any proteins now as a vegan). Most of the staff is very nice. I advice to try something with pickled hibiscus onion - such good and unique taste! Unfortunately there is only one fan operating multiple tables (even 7 in some area) but even if you are sitting alone in this area out of rush hours you get refused to stop rotation elsewhere. Those things are disappointing in a place in this price range.

New review: The food is mediocre and could be better. The staff was lazy. The guy who brought my coffee touched my coffee cup so that his fingers were inside of my coffee which was disgusting. They did not have any soap in the bathroom. Lots is mosquitos and flies. The kitchen looks dirty. Disappointed. Came there before everything was the same but the staff seemed friendlier.

Amazing Cauliflower Popcorn! - Edit
Set in a cute garden, Moochie’s is a nice cafe and restaurant along the main road in Weligama. We had the falafel bowl and the veg burger (served with sweet potato fries), both of which were splendid! But the real highlight was the cauliflower popcorn, which was arguably the best vegan dish we had at any restaurant in Weligama! Other positives include:

AMAZING FOOD - Edit
This place is a must try when visiting Weligama! Food is so amazing we came as many times as we could to try everything. The smoothie bowls are the best I have tried throughout all of my travels. The vegan burger is also a must try as is the smashed avo. All the drinks are so tasty and refreshing. The atmosphere is great and all staff and happy and welcoming. Highly recommend!!!
