A fortuitous find road-tripping down the coast! - Edit
We found this spot on our way to Sagres and had an incredible meal! We had arrived right as the kitchen was closing but the staff was kind enough to serve us regardless. We had the most amazing risotto I think I’ve ever eaten and a refreshing and satisfying cheesecake for dessert. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Costa Vincentina!

Comemos aqui o melhor Risotto de sempre e hambúrguer também com sabor muito natural! O espaço é alternativo, decoração e ambiente bastante agradáveis.

Beautiful restaurant - Edit
I loved this restaurant because of the old style two storey house it was situated in.
Read moreWe turned up without a reservation, and it was booked out. As we were only 2 people, the staff went out of their way to sit us upstairs at the couch area which we really appreciated.
We ordered the pea and mint soup which was divine, but I found the burgers to be a bit bland and the bun wasn’t very nice as it was a gluten free bun.
Took some of the chocolate brownies to take away and they were delicious!

Lovely laid back atmosphere - Edit
we're always pleased to find vegan and vegetarian restaurants as there is no danger of 'misinterpretation' as sometimes happens in other places! The host, Manon, was the most obliging and friendly person and the people who served our meals were attentive and approachable. Three of us opted for the dish of the day (chickpeas in a tasty sauce, wholemeal rice and lightly sautéed cabbage with a rice vinegar dressing) and I went for the burger combo, which consisted of a homemade vegan burger in a gluten free bun with sweet potato wedges, a large (to me!) mixed salad with delicious dip and dressing on the side. We all felt there was plenty without feeling overly stuffed! Two of us also had the fresh mango mousse which was light, delicious and not too sweet. The coffee was good too!
Read moreThere is one minor question which I won’t put in the 'con' section as it’s my personal view and no reflection of the food. I tend not to opt for gluten free food as I feel it’s only appropriate for those with medical issues (such as celiac dis-ease) who need to be concerned with this. I did try the burger bun, and although tasty, it was quite dry. Would it be possible in the future to include an alternative bun or no bun at all as a clear option on the menu?

Kind of perfect vegan restaurant - Edit
We got to this place in the middle of our bicycle tour through Alentejo and it surprised us a lot to find such a wonderful vegan restaurant in this little Portuguese town. Everything we ordered was really tasty, the burger was incredible as well as the "prato do día" and the dessert. Staff was really kind as well. Hope to have the chance to visit this place again.

Our family loves this place. Triptica open sandwiches are a delight (also gluten free!)'and often the lunch menu, that is changing, will have delicious dishes (grab the unicorn soup if you come across it on the menu!).

Holy pistacio PESTO!! - Edit
Got taken here by a friend who really talked it up! I can see why! The interior is small & intimate with old mill operations still in full display. Beautiful building and the staff were lovely. Be on Portugese time here. Just sit, relax and wait patiently because when the food does come you know time has been taken to make it taste its best. I had the Pistachio Pesto on Moagem bread! I miss a good rich pesto & I wish I could have taken a load home with me!!

Nice space and tasty food - Edit
We asked for the vegan burger with cocunut water and the food was good. Not the best burger we ate but good and especially due to the fact that there are not many options around. Alentejo really needs more vegan options so it is great to see more options popping up. The staff was nice and kind.
