Definitely a gem with a cozy, laid-back vibe and incredibly generous portions. We tried both the sweet and savory waffles, and they were absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I honestly wished I could have tried more. If only I hadn’t been completely stuffed after finishing those waffles.

Os waffles eram ótimos, mas não suficiente para o preço cobrado. O arroz negro bem médio. Bebidas vegetais de baixa qualidade. Staff amigável, mas estavam claramente eram insuficientes para preparar tudo e atender os clientes que chegavam. A decoração é linda. Preços altos para um café de baixa qualidade. Desculpe, pessoal. Ainda tem muito a melhorar.

Strong hippie/surfer vibes. Pretty unique to most restaurants with a small open kitchen and food being prepared right in front of you. Food was well balanced very tasty. Both the sweet and savory waffles were amazing. Decadent cakes and the açaí bowl were tasty but they got the açaí order wrong.

Diese kleine Location sieht aus wie ein Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche. Es war allerdings sehr beengt, so dass aufgepasst werden musste, wohin der nächste Schritt erfolgt. Wir sind scheinbar zur Stoßzeit gekommen, da es sehr voll war. Mit großem Hunger sollte dieses Lokal gemieden werden, da wir bestimmt 20 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet haben, das Essen hat noch länger gedauert.

Alles in allem eine nette Idee, aber nicht mein Geschmack, da der Betrieb sehr hektisch wirkte.

Roots cafe serves up a lovely selection of fabulously fresh and delicious vegan lunch dishes alongside their superb selection of homemade cakes.
Read moreAmazing sweet potato waffles topped with hummus and guacamole, vegetable frittata with a mega fresh green leafy salad or roasted red pepper and tomato soup were just a few of the options on offer when we stopped by. The cake display was hard to resist too with fruit topped chocolate cheesecake, chunky apple cake or iced banana cake all looking marvelously tasty.
The friendly staff and chilled vibe of the cafe space add to the experience, and this goes down as a superb place to head for some healthy home cooked goodness on the Algarve's west coast.

I had the acai smoothie which was reeeaaally good! & ate a sweet potato waffle — the portion was way bigger than I expected, I almost couldn’t finish it. The salad & veggies on top were all fresh & the dips/pesto really yummy.

A really cute place with nice interior and a broad menu of wholefood creations and sweets. The portions are rather small, but that leaves room for a sweet treat. The staff is very friendly and the place is really inviting to slow down and stay a while.
