Good fresh snacks

To be honest, I don’t love that so many reviews of this bakery in Croatia are negative because they don’t consistently have a French baked good. The local option - a potato burek (pie) - is great and there are other good fresh breads you can purchase, for only a few euros each. No it is not a meal but for an early morning snack it is good.

Not many options

As far as I could tell from the reviews on here the only option was the potato roll. I will say the potato roll is very tasty and I did have a few on my trip in split and Dubrovnik. They were a lot more expensive in Dubrovnik, almost double the price as split. I couldn’t find the raspberry croissant I’ve seen other people reviewing on here.

Pros: Tasty , Affordable , Multiple locations

Cons: Lack of options

No sign of anything but potato roll

Went several times at different times in day in hope of finding a vegan croissant but no joy. They seemed surprised that I thought they did one. Only vegan item they said was the potato roll 3 euros. It was very nice as a snack though. Not much else to have for lunch here, made a change from chips.

I came to the bakery around 30 minutes before closing time and there were one type vegan item there: potato roll. It was good! Maybe there’s more vegan options during day tome!

Nothing Vegan

Both bakeries had nothing vegan early in the morning, I guess they just have it sometimes.

Tasty raspberry croissant

They must run out of this one quickly as we tried to get a vegan croissant earlier yesterday from 2 of the bakeries and they had none. We were lucky to bag 2 today and they did not disappoint, very tasty!😄

Definitely has vegan options

It seems they’ve removed labels from their pastries in store, but you can check their allergens on their website in English

Currently the vegan options include:
- potato pie (more like a burek - can confirm this is really tasty)
- small rolled burek with apple filling
- perec / pretzel
- focaccia
lots of their bread

They do coffee but unclear if they do milk alternatives

No vegan options

It seems that they used to have vegan options even labeled. What a shame it is not the case anymore, I asked and was told there was no vegan option.

Nothing vegan stocked

Other outlets of this chain stock vegan options which are clearly labelled but we've tried this and the other Mlinar at different times of day and they've not stocked any of the vegan items.

Totally inadequate

Going by past reviews I went in asking for a vegan borek to which the employee answered they don’t have anything vegan. I asked about the „Focaccia“ (a piece of flat bread with tomatoes on it) and she suddenly remembered that maybe something in the store is after all not made with animal products.

Don’t waste your time coming especially here if you’re not already right near it, other places are sure to have the same piece of bread to which you can add your own tomatoes.

Side note, at the end she told me the croissant was also vegan but I had a pretty good feeling by the end that she didn’t actually know what vegan is.

Pros: Piece of bread

Vegan croissants

Delighted to find a raspberry vegan croissant at this bakery.
The vegan sausage roll/hotdog was also a tasty snack.

Pros: 4 vegan options
