Excellent sandwiches

I popped in for a Chef's brekky scrambled tofu, mushrooms with herbs and 2 slices of toasted sourdough bread finish that off with a wedge of pecan pie.
Definitely be back Sunday.
This shop I highly recommend for takeaway or eating outside.
Came back for brekky had a Philly sandwich delicious and Reese tart delicious.

Yummy Baked Goods!

My friend and I missed the time slot for the kitchen availability so we didn’t get to try the food off the menu. The crookie, kunefe and cinnamon scrolls were also sold out. We tried some of the baked goods and they were divine. The pastry of the vegan sausage rolls and kimchi triangles were buttery and the filling was just right. My friend is a non vegan and she was amazed that the filling tasted like real pork sausage rolls. We were filled with just 2 pastry baked goods. If you enjoy the bitter but earthy taste of matcha then you’ll love their strawberry matcha. And if you’re looking for something refreshing to quench your thirst, you’ll love their yuzu lemonade! The chocolate mousse cake was just right, not overly sweet.

Looking forward to return try food from the menu ☺️

Missed Seein’ this place

As per the heading, I’d been overlooking this place for years because it was wrongly categorised on HC as a bakery rather than a cafe, so on this visit to Sydney I made it a destination. (HC have progressively complicated their classification system over time making it less helpful than it used to be.) It’s kind of nice that the cafe is in the middle of the burbs in a relatively quiet location. There is a huge array of baked goods on display, most of it too rich for me at breakfast time. We ordered the corn fritter breakfast burger and the c****** katsu sandwich. I generally like something quite plain and not too heavy in the morning, and, although it reportedly contained spicy mayo, the burger met these criteria. The fritter was nice but a bit longer cooked than I anticipated. I actually preferred the sando, which surprised me, and the katsu was tender and the dish quite light. I felt like we had to try something from the bakery, so I chose the lamington, about the only thing there that wouldn’t have made me pass out from a sugar OD. It was delicious, moist, not overly sweet, and contained real cherry compote rather than jam from Coles. The two oat milk coffees I had were hot and beautifully prepared. Miss Sina has cemented its position on my list of breakfast spots in Sydney.

Pros: No risk of accidental implication in animal abuse, Delicious breakfast options and good coffee, Pleasant location

It was wrongly classified from the outset. HC has overcomplicated its classification system, particularly given it is supposed to prioritise finding vegan options. My particular point of irritation was the creation of a Coffee/Tea classification, which is not helpful at all. It should be used a feature of an eatery, not a class of eatery.

Fantastic food

Food was fantastic. Range of baked goods/pastries is amazing. Unfortunately one of the employees was visibly annoyed when my partner asked to replace/omit avocado from their meal. We had the summer drinks which were a bit lacking in flavour. Everything was extremely well priced.

Pros: Food, Range, Price

Cons: Rude employee , Drinks lacked flavour

Sweet pastries! On the pricy side for me

Lovely shop with a wide selection. Would love to see more savory pastries in the future! But good savory meal options at least. Would love some cheaper options, even if it meant smaller items; an entire sweet pastry can be too much for me.

Dinners started recently here; sad I missed the set menu options. Enjoyed the garlic knots, didn’t find a main dish that I really liked.

Do not Miss this

Excellent eatery with helpful service and awesome food. The "chicken" katsu sandwich had amazing texture, and bread was so soft with crunch crust. The corn fritter burger was tasty, perhaps a little over fried.
A side of hash brown was really nice too.
We bought some doughnuts for later, and they were simply divine.

Pros: Vegan, Wonderful food

Amazing vegan sweets

Their most famous dish is definitely the cinnamon bun and they are some of the best ones we have ever had. We came back just because of them. They also have a lot of other sweet options including different cakes, donuts, croissants and vegan bars. Also, they got savory options like pizza slices and different sandwiches. Highly recommend this café!

Pros: Completely vegan, Great options

Worth it

Finally made it here and I can see why it rates so well. Interesting and varied menu with food that's well presented and delicious.
Limited indoor tables but quite a few outdoor tables, the only disadvantage being the traffic on the crossroads directly in front making it less pleasant.

Vegan decadence

Lovely little spot, live locally and have been here a number of times, haven’t been disappointed by anything we’ve tried on the menu so far. The food here isn’t cheap but it’s in line with what you’d expect to pay at an inner west café these days.

I’m more of a savoury guy, but my partner has a sweet tooth and the cakes and desserts here are amazing. Heaps of gluten free options as well if that’s your thing. And the owner is really nice! Her other location in Surry Hills is definitely worth a visit too :)

Word of warning, they can get PACKED on a weekend. We’ve shown up before and not been able to get a seat and had to go elsewhere. Not their fault they are popular of course, it’s awesome to see a vegan place full, just be prepared to get there early on a Sunday or you’ll probably have to wait for a table (or get takeaway).

Pros: Great vegan breakfast options, Incredible sweet treats, Lots of gluten free stuff

Cons: They’re so popular you might not get a seat 😅

The absolute best, hands down

How lucky we are to have Miss Sina in Sydney. You will never eat anything not delicious here, no matter what you choose. Sina is a sensational baker, honestly you would never know everything is 100% vegan, she is an expert and something of a magician. With a friendly and hard-working team they churn out incredible pastries all day long and make delicious drinks to accompany them. There is also an extensive savoury menu, but I'm always distracted by the cabinet display so I think I've only ever ordered from it once!

Highlights include: creme brulee donuts, anything with custard/pastry cream such as the vanilla slice, cinnamon scrolls.

You also should know that Sina is a pillar of the Sydney Vegan community and so supportive of small start up vegan businesses, rescue animals and a generous, selfless sweet soul. So deserving of every adoring customer that walks through her doors!

Pros: Pastries , Drinks, Staff

I tried their cinnamon scrolls and they were DELICIOUS, even my non-vegan friend couldn't taste the difference.

They have an extensive brunch menu and coffee. 100% vegan bakery.

Creative sweet treats

This place is great but often super busy. I always recommend the bacon egg roll and any of the yummy desserts they have on offer. I recently went there and they were so busy they stopped serving any food on the menu and only were selling desserts. A bit of a bummer but something to keep in mind

Pros: Flavour, Choices, Location

Cons: Limited seating , Occasionally only offers desserts

Incredible pastries and baked goodies

If you have a sweet tooth then you MUST try the wide range of freshly baked pastries, donuts and other goodies at Miss Sina - there’s simply nowhere else like it! On top of that they have a fantastic cafe with a great vibe serving savoury dishes and tasty treats. Also I strongly recommend them for your catering needs! Miss Sina provided some fantastic desserts and a custom cake for our engagement party, it was perfect and a massive hit with everybody.

Pros: Freshly baked, Friendly service, Best place for sweet vegan treats

Pavlova?

I love everything about Miss Sina's - the staff, the ambience, the indoor outdoor seating and of course the amazing food.

Just a note re the pavlova waffles - I'm kiwi and for me pavlova is crunchy meringue on the outside with soft pillowy marshmallow inside. But I think this is not what it is in Australia as I have ordered 'pavlova' at two different vegan places here now and got the crunchy meringue only. Still perfectly nice but not pavlova as I know it. I would call it meringue, not pavlova. Not a criticism - I just had a different expectation.

I can highly recommend the cinnamon scroll buns and the bacon and egg roll.

Pros: amazing choice
