Everything can be made vegan

Popular vegetarian restaurant in a good location. Everything on the menu can be made vegan.

We ordered the hash browns, sourdough crumpets and black bean celery burger all made vegan.

The burger was great
The crumpets good but had unusual flavours
The hash browns were good but not as good since they changed the ingredients to what the meal use to be.

Oat latte, cold brew and banana milkshake all great!!

Food and service subpar for dinner

I had previously been here for lunch years ago and was unimpressed so hadn’t returned. However they have been doing the dinner service for a while now so wanted to give them another shot.
The service was pretty average, no one was asking if you wanted to buy drinks, nor did they explain how the service worked in terms of timing etc (I knew it was a set menu and you are given a printed menu on the table). Once we managed to flag someone down for drinks they forgot to ever bring them out. The service is also a 2 hour sit down and food doesn’t even come out for 30-40 minutes. The dishes themselves were all fairly average and lacklustre. The best thing we had was the green pea gaspacho and focaccia. This was actually inventive and delicious.
I appreciate the idea of incorporating local, seasonal ingredients, the execution just wasn’t quite there for us.
Luckily we were sat inside as there were also tables outside but as it is night time it gets dark out there very fast and the only light to service those tables is that from inside the garage.

I also thought that paying $140 (2 people) for the amount of food and average service we received was just not even remotely worth it.

Some vegan options

Cool cafe with great atmosphere. Not an amazing range of vegan options but most dishes can be veganised. Pastries were vegan cinnamon donuts. Food was ok, depends on your tastes, for me it was a bit rich. Presentation of food is really nice. Go when it’s not so busy.

Great vegan options

Vegan options are limited but really good. Hipster cafe in a garage with friendly service. There are always some vegan meals and pastries. The sandwiches with freshly baked bread can be tasty and the meals are well prepared and presented. The pastries are also delicious. Good place to come to if you’re after high quality vegan cafe food.

Excellent cinnamon donuts

Delicious food every time I’ve eaten here. Great mini vegan pizzas if you’re on a budget and the vegan cinnamon donuts really satisfy a craving!

two chaps

True this is a really laid back place. Has extensive menu. The vegan options are available but not liking cross contamination of cooking utensils that is cooking vegan food with same pans and spoons and ladles etc like fried or poached eggs same for vegan dish.

Pros: has vegan options

Cons: its a carni place with vegan options., not enough 100% kosher vegan dishes.

Must try hashbrowns - so indulgent!

Busy little cafe but service is quick and friendly none the less. Avocado toast with spicy capsicum hummus was delicious (as were the hashbrowns!)

Delish and creative food

I am in love with this place! From the amazing vegan baked goods to the fresh juice and the delicious menu. It's a must try! It's not a veg cafe but they speak fluent vegan and are more than happy to help!

Tasty lunch spot

I've had lunch a couple of times here and it was delicious on both occasions. The food is fresh and beautifully presented so understandably it is not super cheap. Staff are friendly and it's a nice atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, delicious menu

A trendy little vegetarian restaurant hidden away on the back streets of Marrickville...set menu for $55 pp or pick and choose what takes your fancy. ..plenty of delicious vegan options, gorgeously friendly and helpful staff and great musical playlist to accompany your meal. BYO

Pros: Atmosphere; carnivores love it too!
