Gewoonweg heerlijk 😻 - Edit
Wat een heerlijke maaltijd hebben we gehad! Kleine en grote geluksmomenten hebben hun naam niet gestolen. Werkelijk ieder bord dat we deelden - het restaurant werkt met een ‘sharing concept’ - was zeer lekker. Deze 100% plantaardige plek moet je zeker eens proberen.

Na een dagje Den Haag op de terugweg naar Assen dit restaurant aangedaan. Het zit in een oud pand waarvan je de historie kunt voelen/ruiken als je binnen komt, wat het een heel unieke vibe geeft. De gerechten op de kaart klinken allen bijzonder en heerlijk, maar je moet toch een keuze maken. Het eten is zeer uniek en smaakt heerlijk. Zeker de moeite waard om deze plaats te bezoeken als je in de buurt bent.

On the recommendation of the staff, we decided to order 4 starters and a snack to try different dishes. We enjoyed the ‘Krokante Dragon Sushi’ and the ‘Gochujang Bataat Medallion’ the most. We really liked the interior and the staff were very friendly.

Dit is echt een ontzettend gezellig restaurant. Wat een sfeer! Het duurzame is overal terug te vinden, wat heel mooi en leuk is om te zien. En het eten is verrukkelijk! Heel veel interessante bijzondere gerechten, en absoluut heerlijk.

Absoluut een aanrader in Zoetermeer. Het is een heel leuk en warm/huiselijk restaurant met mooie en originele gerechten. Wel moet ik zeggen dat ik de prijs/kwantiteit wat uit balans vind. De kleine gerechten zijn vaak in 4 happen op maar wel €15. Je moet dus veel gerechten bestellen wil je vol zitten, en dat gaan wel aantikken.

I go out for meals often, but usually save the ones I’m really intrigued by for my birthday. Ministerie van Geluk was one of those. I made a dinner reservation for the first Supper Sunday event they hosted and mentioned that my father wasn’t really into animal textured/tasting food.
Read moreWe arrived a bit later due to traffic, but fortunately that wasn’t an issue. The restaurant itself is very pretty, but I would probably ask for a table upstairs next time as it’s very noisy on the ground flour. I opted for a pornstar martini as a drink which also comes with some bubbles on the side. The first course was their crispy sushi, then a garlic gazpacho that I forgot to photograph, broccoli tartar, basil orzo and we finished it off with a dessert platter. My dad didn’t like most of it, as expected, but maybe it wasn’t the best idea of me to reserve a table during a set-menu night. Service was quite slow, but I really liked all the dishes. My favorite was probably the soup or the tartar, even though I’m not really a garlic-fan and most dishes were (a bit too) heavy on garlic.
I think I will be paying this cozy restaurant a visit again, but only when there’s a menu that’s more to the taste of all of my family members (and they get to pick their poison)😉

Worth a visit to Zoetermeer - Edit
I was not expecting such a nice vegan restaurant in Zoetermeer of all places. Interior looked like that of an old Dutch farmhouse. Creative dishes with nice twists. The Gozleme with Redefine lamb was my absolute favorite. Japanese loaded nachos were something I would never have thought to make myself. Also tried the cheese platter and krokante sushi which were very nice as well. You can also order food to share and the restaurant will arrange menus divided into portions for sharing.

Dessert: Chocolade crème brûlée. My love of chocolate was reinforced with this disarmingly sweet dish.

Ministerie van Geluk is a cute restaurant in Zoetermeer. The food is great, but sometimes portions can be a bit small (also for a small dish). We were there at a busy time, so the wait was quite long, but the food was very tasty and worth the wait. I definitely recommend the 'geluksbier' as well.

Amazing food, but a little unorganized - Edit
Lovely place with great food. We were with 3 and shared about 8 dishes, from fried cauliflower 'fish' and gamba bao bun to smoky eggplant and oyster mushroom coquilles. The food was amazing! Unfortunately the waiting time was rather long. Too long, we skipped on the dessert. Therefore 4 stars. But definitely worth a visit!
