Serves meat, vegan options available. A breakfast, lunch, coffeehouse, and diner kind of place. While the menu features many American style dishes with meat, there are vegan and vegetarian choices (but not labeled well): black bean burger, garden patty burger, tofu scramble, soy chorizo in burrito. Has soymilk for coffee drinks. Same owners as Naturewell juice bar/shop in Silverlake. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-4:00pm.

Really solid spot - Edit
Came here twice while visiting LA this time, and had great experiences both times. They’re busy but very efficient and we never had to wait long to be seated or served.
Read moreI got a vegan mushroom/spinach/cheese omelette that was reeeeally good, then got the vegan Benedict my second visit. Both I’d highly recommend, some of the best vegan hollandaise I’ve had!

Yummy - Edit
My non-vegan brother mentioned liking this spot and after checking Happy Cow I wanted to try it out. The Cali omelette is tied with best vegan omelette I’ve had. Flavorful and cheezy, potatoes were well seasoned, and brewed coffee was on point. Ordered the banana walnut pancake, I was nervous to try it as I don’t usually enjoy GF batter, but I didn’t notice, I actually thought it was really yummy! Also the service was incredibly fast, food came about 5 minutes after we ordered, no exaggeration. Can get busy around brunch, make it to breakfast for no wait!

Best vegan breakfast for a non-vegan restaurant - Edit
Tons of vegan menu items! The vegan benedict now comes with the option of a vegan poached egg (possibly by YoEgg, not sure). It’s so yummy! And this is coming from someone who hates Just Egg.
Read moreDefinitely go here if you want breakfast earlier than when the vegan spots nearby open, or if you’re eating with people who aren’t willing to give up meat/eggs.

I’ll keep coming back for Millie’s omelettes! - Edit
I’ve visited 3 times and it never disappoints.
Read moreThe vegan omelettes are generous and super tasty - and the food is speedy too!
I’d travel back to Cali for this, seriously. 5 stars if I could!
Plus, the unsung hero is the tofu scramble. Super filling and super balanced.
I’ve had the vegan pancakes too and the monkey style is SO GOOD!
Pros: Loads of vegan options , Vegan pancakes!, Great service

you gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 because you don’t live in California? How does that make any sense?

Consistently delicious and the egg texture and flavour is the exact same as the real thing.
Also Monkey Pancakes are so good.
Definately don't miss this place.

Vegan menu - Edit
They’ve made the menu easy to navigate by separating the vegan menu. I appreciate that they offer a choice of plant-based eggs or scrambled tofu for brunch dishes. They have several meat replacements as well (the soyrizo is great) and the vibe is great. I always eat at Millie’s when I’m in LA

Bad pancakes, good burrito - Edit
The pancakes were awful (they only have gf batter). The breakfast burrito was good. Might have to wait in line for a table.

Or by showing demand in vegan food over non-vegan :)

Unfortunately, that's a myth. Look up horizontal marketing. All it "shows" is that anti-vegan businesses can expand their products and business and take vegan's money at the expense of authentic vegan businesses, sadly. 😪

Plus, who has an appetite in the presence of all those dead bodies and with the risk of some being in your food anyway? 🤢

Great Service, Delicious Food! - Edit
I wish I could give this place 5 stars (happy cow only allows 4 stars if it serves meat) - I was so impressed with their separate vegan menu. I had the Angel's Mess (tofu scramble with bell peppers, soy chorizo, daiya cheese, guacamole, and salsa) and a banana walnut waffle. It was so delicious! The place was crowded, but we were seated quickly and the staff was very quick to make sure we had what we needed. I will definitely be back!

All eaters welcome - Edit
I ordered the avo toast with tofu scramble and a side of tempeh bacon. Next time I’ll ask for food to be cooked in olive oil because the vegan butter was overwhelming.

Great vegan breakfast options - Edit
This is my go to breakfast place in Silver Lake. I always get “The Usual” - pancakes, vegan bacon and tofu scramble. I sometimes crave the No Huevos Rancheros - so good but it can get overwhelming with the daiya cheese. A great place to go to with non-vegan friends and family.

Fantastic choices, great food, friendly staff! - Edit
Great 2 page vegan menu of breakfast & lunch. Lots of different choices. Includes soy meat, vegan cheese, butter & sauces. I had the California Benedict, the vegan hollandiase sauce was so nice! Unfortunately they were out of the fake bacon, but swapped for soy chorizo & tasted great!

Vegan comfort food - Edit
This buzzing cafe has a full, separate vegan menu so items are easy to find, and extensive. I had tofu scramble, pancakes and soyrizo. It’s really great to find a classic cafe offering so much veganised food! They did serve us patties of cows’ butter with our toast and cows’ milk with our black coffee though, so attention to detail could be a little improved.

Crowded For Lunch/ Tasty Food - Edit
I sat at a crowded counter of this crowded local restaurant in Silverlake. I ordered the Angel's Mess. the presentation was a bit unappealing, but it was very tasty. a bean/vegan cheese sloppy blend.Service was fine.
