Ok this is the second year in a row i have gone to mildreds for my bday but i think it is valid of me to do so, they just see me fr 😔 ‼️ server overhead it was my birthday and came out with a candle and a card, she didn’t have to do all that!! Nut roast itself was a bit small and not to my taste. The mushroom pie was amazing culinarily but perhaps too much salt for health purposes.
Both of the above came with all the normal sides like parsnips and tenderstem broccoli, which were great. Would have liked more gravy than the little container's (but I didn't ask for more so my bad).

Read moreThe restaurant is light and airy, and the food was as equally as good. I had the makhani cabbage kofta, which had a beautiful layering of spice. I finished with a raspberry saffron creme brulee that was an absolute delight. Service was smart and quick, and as I was on my own did not keep me waiting.
They did an excellent classic old-fashioned too.

Read moreThe food and service was good, I had a brown sugar glazed burger and a white chocolate tiramisu which had a lovely flavour but quite a mild flavour. Nevertheless, it was a really tasty meal and it's nice to see them still going strong.

Most exotic Kimchi fried rice I ever have - Edit
Basmati rice, topped with garlic aioli and bunch of spring onions, and fried with fennel seeds. This must be the most exotic kimchi fried rice I ever have. I love the tofu the most. It’s crunchy and savoury.

Sunday roast! - Edit
Of the three options for Sunday roast (from 12 noon), I chose the leek lattice pastry. All roasts come with gravy, a small Yorkshire pudding, five kinds of vegetables and roasted potatoes. I began with a non-alcoholic cocktail. Excellent meal and satisfying.

Loved the food. The only remark would be that it was very unhandy to eat the pot pie. The puff pastry was on top of the stew, and trying to cut it, the stew just spilled over the pot. Maybe there's a trick to it, but I had no clue, and it became a bit of a mess. 🫣
So I simply took the puff pastry off, and ate it on the side.
Toilets are clean, very nicely renovated. Toilets are not gendered but for 'All people'. Love that. Also an accessible toilet. Resto is on ground floor.
Nice spacious place. Lots of seatings. Nice decor, with artworks on walls. As it started to fill up, it did get louder though. Friendly service.
We had a really lovely dinner!
An 'optional' service charge of 12,5% was automatically added to the bill.
PS: we had dinner at Mildreds in Soho years ago, and didnt like it there (very cramped, very loud, rushed, food not that special). Really glad we did try this location. Also went to sister resto Mallow, and bought the Mildreds Vegan cookbook!

Mildreds is a superb restaurant. So much to choose from, and all absolutely delicious. It's expensive but probably fairly reasonable for the area. Went with lots of non vegan friends and everyone was talking about how good the food was.

All the flavour was cracking with a nice bit of heat, the arancini was really smoky too

It's a nice place with nice staff. We started with some tasty arancini rossi. For mains, we had the mojo verde chick'n skewers, which were delicious, with a nice texture and flavourful sauce, and the tofu bokkeumbap, which was decent, but I found a bit lacking in taste and in tofu quantity. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, which, honestly, was more like a bland flan than a crème brûlée.

My favourite London spot - Edit
I love every Mildred's restaurant so was excited to see them open at another location. The Victoria branch maintains the same standards. I dont know any other chain who can do such a good oat milk cappuccino to the sane standard in every location. Food was amazing as always.

Amazing food in general and decor great. Food mistake meant took 30/35 min but they kindly gave us each a free dessert. The service was slow - we had to wave a lot to get their attention despite not being busy - waiter often had eyes down or looking away from the few customers in restaurant - but was friendly. Food was great. The corn vegan ribs - tasty but massive rip off! Very small. Main dishes incredible and desserts too. Highly recommend!
