The Moussaka is vegetarian, not vegan!

We went to Mila with a group of omni family members, largely because their menu shows a vegan moussaka, but also because of their broad menu, including pasta dishes for one person who doesn't like Turkish food. We were surprised upon ordering to find out that the moussaka is not vegan after all, but vegetarian. We were told that the VG on the menu was a printing error, but it seems that would be easy to correct. That left two vegan mains, Iyam Bayeldi, a stuffed aubergine (eggplant) dish, and a larger portion of dolmades, which are also on the starters menu in a smaller portion. Those dishes were OK, although the eggplant was a bit greasy and the dolmades didn't taste different to the ones you can buy in a can. Both dishes were served with a large salad and the Iyam Bayeldi also came with a bulgur pilaf. We also had hummus, falafel and lentil soup from the starters menu. Portions were generous and filling. We will likely not go back because of the limited vegan options...now, if they can come up with a vegan moussaka, that would be different!

Pros: Broad menu for eating with omni family, Modern, comfortable restaurant

Cons: Not enough vegan options, Menu was misleading and should be corrected, Annoying electronic pop music playing loudly
