Mercadito Latino is a great local, family-run restaurant serving a variety of authentic Salvadorean and Central American meals in Winnipeg's West End.
Read moreI recently visited here for dinner on July 18, 2020 and have previously eaten here as well. On my most recent visit, I ordered the vegetarian tacos which consisted of corn tortillas filled with refried beans, avocado, and pico de gallo and a side of homemade salsa. They were delicious and satisfying! The menu has other vegan/vegetarian options as well including bean pupusas, corn tamales and other dishes which I was impressed by.
The service is friendly and they also have a small store within the restaurant with authentic food products from Central America. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and it feels like you're eating in the home of a local.
