We had been eating here for over a year before one of the servers informed us that the rice is NOT vegan. We had the same experience after dining there a couple times with the refried beans….said they are vegan but finally a more honest server told us they are not. The green sauce is pork based. There is a vegetarian menu but everything on it uses the same rice that is made with lard. When we explained we were not happy about this ( being lied to) the server said “ many, many people are vegan and they not care about lard….it is ok”. Will not eat there again.

Pros: Large portions

Cons: Animal based items passed off as vegan

Everything has either cheese or meat in it. You can only do so many substitutions. Disappointed when I saw the menu and realized that the only vegan dish in the menu was the guacamole, salsa, beans and rice.. which are practically side dishes. They should offer potato flautas, potato sopes, or bean tostadas as a proper entree for vegans.

Cons: No vegan entrees except side dishes. , Some vegetarian options.
