Okay Experience, but I Wouldn’t Return - Edit
The visit was okay, but I wouldn’t go again. The place was very crowded and the air felt stuffy. I was greeted in English and seated at the bar, where I barely had space and had to sit sideways.
Read moreThe menu offered only two options that could be made vegan. The waiter didn’t really seem sure about what the supplement for the cream cheese was. My bagel arrived quickly, but the taste wasn’t good — the hummus (used as the cream cheese supplement) had a strong tannin-like flavor.
When paying, the waiter continued speaking to me in English, even though I answered in Spanish. Overall, an average experience, not worth a second visit.

Great quality! But not many options - Edit
I really enjoyed my lunch at Mazal! However I didn't feel like I had many options: no vegan bagels and only 2 of the vegetarian bagels could be made vegan upon request (changing the cheese for hummus).
Read moreThe fries and the hashbrowns were also great, and the bagels themselves delicious. That said I would likely enjoy more if I bought their bagels and made my own sandwiches at home 😅

Very great bagels and nice coffee - Edit
I had a "the garden" beagle without cheese which then makes it vegan (there is a dedicated vegan bagel on the menu too, but I didn't feel like hummus). It was tasty!

Next to the bagle I also had a iced latte with vanilla and oat milk which was super good!

Best bagels in Madrid - Edit
Coming from the states, it’s so hard to find a GOOD bagel in Madrid, but these ones hit the mark every time!! I can’t help but order a bunch and freeze them for later. I typically just do a build your own but their hummus and veggie one is also quite good. The staff and the owner are also really nice!

Read moreI have to say that it was more than enough for me, even if it might look as it's not a lot. I had it with a vanilla latte with soy milk.
The thing I liked the less was that it had too many spices for my liking.

Fantastic Place - Edit
Great little restaurant and take away. Vegan Bagel was very good and the French toast breakfast with fruit and granola was just incredible. There is coffee with almond and soy milk and great pie. My favorite breakfast Bruch place in Madrid!
