Incredible - Edit
Bowled over by the array of amazing looking dishes. I went for the hollandaise eggs. I never thought a vegan poached egg was possible... it is!! Although it doesn’t taste like what I can remember an egg tasting like, it was incredible.

Great Food - Edit
Fresh and tasty, includes some of those foods we used to love. Gnocchi with creamy ‘bacon’ mushroom, and broccoli sauce wes delicious, as was the smashed avo, Mac and ‘cheese’. Wide selection of unusual and interesting lattes. Now on my must go places when in St Kilda.

Lack of cleanliness keeps me away - Edit
When this place first opened I was ecstatic and every time we came home to Melbourne we would be sure to pop in. Unfortunately the past few visits has left me disappointed and unmotivated to return. I couldn’t get over the amount of flies all over the tables and therefore the food and drinks. The booth seating and tables need a massive update. The food is ok but I do feel the portions have been reduced. Hopefully they can renovate and recover to the former glory.

Wow absolutely 5/5 stars - Edit
I loved everything about this place, a chilled out Cafe environment, comfortable seating, cute vegan slogans around and friendly staff.
Read moreWe got vegan big breakfasts which are DIY. They come with either a poached or scramble option on sourdough, then any 4 of the various sides. Food portions were extremely generous, presented beautifully, fast service and extremely tasty. I left so satisfied. Would recommend for any vegan, veg or flex, there's options for everyone. #Veganuary

One of the best in Melbs - Edit
Their vegan popcorn chicken trays are great. They also do really nice smoothie bowls and breakfast options. A great place for brunch with good variety on the menu and close to St Kilda Beach!

I felt super healthy! - Edit
The first time I went in was to purchase a little plant. Then I saw the endorsement by Chris Helmsworth so thought that I had better give the food a go. As it was lockdown and the opening hours were limited, I struggled to get there when it was open. When the chance finally came, I was not disappointed. Awesome menu, lovely service and cool location. Plus I felt super healthy with my meal choice!

Amazing Brunch Spot - Edit
I love Matcha Mylkbar! There are so many food and drink choices - especially the lattes. I’ve enjoyed all the meals I’ve had, one of my favourites being the Matcha Pancakes. A great place to dine in.

So disappointed. - Edit
I went to Matcha Mylkbar last Saturday and was severely underwhelmed. We waited for 45 minutes for our food, which had small portion sizes and were.. fine. I adore poached eggs and I’ve missed them since becoming vegan so I was excited about the Mylkbar’s vegan replica, but it was barely edible and tasted like a tiny jelly science experiment. The fried popcorn jackfruit ‘chicken’ was okay. The waitresses looked overworked and I felt really bad for them. Some pro’s are that they had the best crunchy sourdough bread for smashed avo! The puns on the menu were adorable too. I had high hopes but unfortunately will not be going back.

Vegan eggs? 😳 - Edit
Very surreal to have vegan eggs they way they make it. It is quite small so you may have to make a booking or wait a bit. The prices are quite expensive.

Fab lattes and açai bowls - Edit
I’ve never tried any of the hot food, but their specialty lattes and açai bowls never disappoint. A little on the spendy side for what it is, but it’s delicious ⭐️

Tasty - Edit
Some clever items like the vegan eggs. Hollandaise vegan eggs are tasty and the mac and cheese. Highly recommend the mock Popcorn Chicken Tray. Best dish I've had there. Brekkie is good but mac and cheese doesn't match with it so swap it out. Latte flight sampler is yum - especially Apple pie latte, purple latte and smurf latte.

Good pancakes ! - Edit
The pancakes were really good with coconut ice-cream and Oreos, the caramel sauce was delicious ! The pancakes ingredients are written on the menu and it explain the « unusual » taste of it (dues to the flours they use), and without the toppings they weren’t a hit for us. I personally didn’t find the pancakes texture I like, it was more of a cake texture but a bit heavier, not as airy.

Enjoyable food. A few let's downs. A little pricey. - Edit
Had brunch here.
Read moreService was a little slow.
Food was mostly good. The mock poached eggs are a nice change. Hollandaise sauce isnt very authentically replicated. Its green and doesnt taste anything like hollandaise. Not saying it should, as it's a vegan version. However, it's not even the same colour or similar taste. The food is pricey.

Incredible vegan food! - Edit
I went for the low FODMAP bowl which consisted of a variety of yummy vegetables, grains and dips, topped with a vegan poached egg! Everything on the menu sounded and looked incredible and I wanted to try it all. Finished my meal off with a delicious smoothie, would 100% come back.
