As many others have written, this place has one vegan option, the Emmett. For other restaurants this may be a turn-off, but not MartAnnes. This plate has everything you could ask for in a vegan breakfast. The juicy seitan in salsa verde, the succulent beans and hashbrowns, and a bit of rice and pico de gallo make this a must-try.

For me, the best part of visiting Flagstaff is eating at MartAnne’s. The one vegan meal is the Emmett and it’s incredible -not a lame token option, but very satisfying. From their menu:

Pros: Emmett, Great service -even when it’s packed., The decor.
Cons: Sometimes parking can take time to find.

I ordered the crunchy seitan taco plate without the cheese option. It comes with beans and rice at the side. Their seitan is so well cooked, flavorful and juicy and is a must try!

I would rate Martanne's vegan options 5 stars but in Happy Cow 4 stars is the maximum rating for a restaurant that offers meat.
Read moreIf I was passing through and only had enough time for one meal in Flagstaff, it would be an Emmett breakfast platter at Martanne's: seitan chilaquiles with green sauce accompanied by pinto beans and perfect hash browns.
The veggie burrito with seitan is quite good as well, but I can't not have the Emmett.
So good!

They happily swapped in seitan in the tostada option, and traded ranch for salsa. Really good quality food, really well prepared seitan, and really fair pricing.

This isn’t a vegan restaurant by any stretch, but I still go here all the time for one item; the Seitan veggie burrito. Get it without cheese, add some mushrooms, ask for it enchilada style with their green sauce. It’s fantastic 😋

The breakfast vegan plate they had was amazing. They did an excellent job on the seitan. My husband doesn't care for pho meat but really liked the taste. Definitely will be back . Staff was really friendly.
