Good food, nice terras - Edit
I had the vegan chicken (seitan), really good, but not the cheapest option in Folkstone.

Lovely atmosphere & food - Edit
Was really impressed by the food here and the restaurant itself was really cosy and welcoming. I had their plant based “seitan steak burger” which was so delicious. So many good flavours! They also have vegan cakes available which are beautifully presented - just be careful because they sometimes serve with non vegan cream if you do not specify!

Imaginative vegan options - Edit
The menu at Marley's has a focus on local food, and the vegan options have a bit of imagination. I've had dinner a couple of times when visiting Folkestone and really enjoyed both meals. It can get a bit busy, so it's worth booking or eating early. I like the relaxed, cosy atmosphere and the service is good.

Good options - Edit
Marley's has a pretty decent menu with main dishes and small plates suitable for a tapas style meal. I had the crispy thyme dumplings with a kale salad and potatoes topped with beetroot mayo, all very tasty. The pakora is also excellent served with a very smooth, creamy houmous. Their bigger dishes include a house made seitan steak, they seem to change how it's served every now and then but I had it with potatoes, pumpkin puree and gravy - delicious and it's great to have seitan in a restaurant.
Read moreTheir sweet options are also good, with a decent range of cakes (including gluten free) and a really good hot chocolate.

Great breakfasts - Edit
Hearty, fresh and nicely presented vegan breakfasts. The seitan is made in house and the chargrilled flavour overdelivered against appearance. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the wait time was much shorter than they advised even though we arrived without a booking when the place was at capacity.

As the title says, the food is always lovely at Marleys! I particularly loved the vegan butternut squash and miso soup... honestly one of the best soups I've ever had.

Local bistro with lots of vegan options - Edit
Had a Garden Sharer plate - beetroot patties, buffalo cauliflower, thyme dumplings, sourdough - delicious and perfect as lunch for two. Would like to come back and try their vegan steak and cheese.

Amazing - Edit
Best food I’ve had in ages and there were several vegan options to choose from. We had the vegan buttermilk chicken and the vegan BBQ burger which were both delicious! The bbq corn curls were also amazing. Service was great also so would definitely recommend!

We’ve always loved eating at Marley’s (when we can get a table!) really lovely vegan options that have never failed to amaze me, although I do wish they’d bring back the ‘steak’ sandwich. Lovely staff & ambiance too!

Lovely restaurant and food with quite a few vegan options (all delicious!). Only not 5 star as they serve dead animals.

Fabulous! - Edit
Have eaten there three times. Once for dinner and twice for breakfast. This little gem was opened recently by Mark (chef) and partner Charly (front of house), who are both highly experienced in the art of food prep and presentation. I think this is their first restaurant, which they have designed and fitted out themselves with the help of family and friends. Their professionalism is married beautifully with their own personalities to make a cosy, fun, high quality eatery at reasonable prices. Perfect for meat and plant based eaters alike for a memorable meal out with friends and family. Recommend calling ahead to book as they are consistently full!
