I usually don't go for overly fancy food, let alone dessert, in upscale areas of town, but if I could award three Michelin stars - as in: definitely worth it to make the trip just to eat there - I would.
Read moreThe cheesecake was unlike anything I'd ever had. Permeated by a creamy richness and masterfully balanced by the caramel notes of the crust. The Victoria sponge with the cute strawberries was another masterpiece. I had never had this kind of cake that is usually found in luxuriously decorated stalls in department store basement floors. Yet they always seemed inviting. Glad I could finally try one and it did deliver: superbly subtle and light, perhaps only lacking a little sweetness in the actual strawberries, but it *is* fall and strawberries are woefully out of season.
I also had a mock egg sandwich which was another item I'd always enviously passed in kombinis and other stores. I recommend it with the same enthusiasm you've hitherto come to know from this review.
Please excuse the potato photos which were made while ravenously indulging in the treats in a park after a particularly exhausting ride on the Yamanotesen.
Pros: Excellent taste, Relatively cheap, especially for the location, They even gave us icepacks for the cakes

The cakes are not super sweet which I enjoy and for a drink we took soy matcha latte which was very nice!

The staff were all very kind and gave us a warm welcome and farewell. Another thing that really impressed me was that the shop was open until late.
It's a store that makes me wish it was closer to my home, and I'd like to back here again soon.

Had the signature Marbre strawberry cake which was to die for, and the lemon roll, which was also great if you are a lemon lover. Will definitely be back again to get more of the Marbre cake and try other things on the menu too!

Went for a sweet treat after a lovely morning in Gyoen national garden. Lots of different options & lovely staff. Got the strawberry cake which was lovely! Very light and tasty. Also got a vegan egg sandwich to take away for later which was lovely too. Would recommend!

We ordered the cutlet sandwich and banana tart and they were honestly some of the yummiest things I’ve ever eaten. I’d personally go out of my way to eat there again. The cutlet sandwich was very fresh and tasty, and the banana tart was light and fluffy, not too sweet.

Even though there is wide selection most of the sweets taste pretty similar. We really enjoyed the katsu sandwich though. Also they had lots of carb free / gluten free options which was nice that they accommodate different dietary restrictions. Very nice staff. A bit too pricey for the quality.

super cute fully vegan bakery with almost too many options - i spent way too long having to choose just one treat. I had the strawberry tart which is also gluten free. so simple but amazing. i also had their iced earl grey tea to balance out the sweetness. loved it!

Matcha tiramisu!!! Wow! - Edit
This place had so many offerings! We tried the strawberry shortcake which had very tasty strawberry flavoured cream. The matcha tiramisu however was a show stopper - WOW. Matcha soy later (iced) was also incredible !
